Hopefully Mercedes doesn't have the same tyre problems as last year.

Boring Monaco is boring. Not a great race for Lewis, lost out in the pits again.

From what I saw both Alonso and Vettel were able to pass Hamilton by putting in very quick laps during their respective pit windows. I don't think there was much difference in the speed of the actual pit stops.

Watched Quali, which is the most interesting and important part of this race.

Watched some of the GP3 replays, one guy was driving around without a rear wing and was still not getting passed. It is darn near impossible to pass on that track.

Was a massive crash in GP3.

Yeah. That was Derek Daly's son. Good thing he's OK.

This year it was Takuma Sato's turn to crash out of the 500 on the final lap.

Too bad. He would have been the second BAR-Honda driver to win it.

Outrageous driving by the other car.

Disappointed today the Lotus' I thought would be strong and Kimi is lightening around Monaco

Yeah I should give more credit to them. Alonso was flying at that point, he did only just come out ahead of Lewis whose pit stop was 0.6 seconds slower, so that small a difference is arguably enough for him to come out in front. Passing was non existent so he probably could have held that spot. As for Vettel he get a bit lucky from Webber pushing the pack back a bit, but overall Hamilton wasn't quite on pace today.

To be honest when I first saw it, it looked like that guy trying to pass, could have kept going up the inside and got past, but came back to (the drivers) right late, while the red car did not move much at all.

I am not that well versed however and could be missing a whole lot of stuff. I understand exactly what the commentator is saying, but I don't think he went both directions.

He was trying to make the car as big as possible to hold on without a rear wing.

Vettel was a full second quicker in the pits and Alonso was 0.6.

Considering Vettel came out a whisker ahead and Alonso came out between 0.5 and 0.7 seconds ahead I would say it made a difference.

I still think he made 2 moves.

When did his wing come off? Why wasn't he orange and black flagged?

I disagree.

I didn't have a stop watch but Alonso came out comfortably ahead of Hamilton. It was more than 0.6 seconds. Hamilton closed up a little bit as Alonso was trying to get his tires up to temperature, but it really wasn't all that close.

Vettel had the pit stop well in hand over Lewis but lost at least a second as his tires went away at the end of his first stint. If Lewis had made a better pit stop, Red Bull would have pitted Vettel sooner and the result would have been the same. They only kept Vettel out as long as they did because they were hoping to jump Alonso and Rosberg.

What? You think Red Bull would have sent Vettel in if Hamilton had done a 3.4 pitstop instead of a 4.4.

They had their gameplan.
