| Ive seen a bunch of people, some Broncos fans, suggesting an OT, like Jon Scott or Colledge. Can someone explain why? Foster is RT for a while, Lepsis has time left as a LT, Green is an okay backup. I dont see it as a first round need - after WR, DL, S |

Lepsis is older and there is only "average" depth behind them. On top of Lepsis being old, he has the ability to test free agency if he so very wishes this year. _________________

Lepsis is getting older and in my opinion Foster and Green are both backups. Foster has been unable to take the starting job and keep it from Green. They shared time most of the season. Foster has played better the last month, but I don't think he's turned out to be first round talent.
I do agree though that it's probably not a first round need but I wouldn't be surprised to see Denver draft an OT sometime on day 1. |

SD, I think you're wrong. I watched almost every Broncos game (but two) this whole season and Foster was in there for almost 90% of the snaps. He was pulled one game, but I can't remember what for, but he was playing with a sprained MCL for a while. That's why Green rotated in and out of the offense a bit.
Foster has developed into a great tackle, had he been healthy this year, it would have been interesting to see what he would have done. _________________

i think i would make a case for foster to be in the top 10 RT's in the NFL right now. how many can you think of that are better than he is? plus he's only 25 and can get quite a bit better. i'm really excited about him.
the reason we need an OT in the draft is, like chris said, because lepsis is aging and he could test free agency this year. and when you run a scheme like we do, it never hurts to have good depth at tackle. _________________

I would be in favor of a first round tackle if someone like Winston Justice, Jonathan Scott or Eric Winston are there. I'm not as high on Colledge as other people and personally think he's late second round guy.
One guy we should strongly consider with a compensatory pick or one of fourth rounders is Rashad Butler out of Miami who can play LT and RT at an exceptional level. I wouldn't doubt us taking him. Teaming him up with Chris Myers would be nice. _________________

| With Lepsis aging, a good OT would be a good pick up. If Lepsis stays, the rookie could learn the difficult scheme from an exerience vet. |

Foster i think has been great just look at the job he did against Willie McGuinest.
He got 4.5 sacks the week before facing Foster.
There is also speculation Lepsis moves along to Houston in FA.
This draft is deep at OT and i believe it would be a good idea to cash in. _________________ Westy |

Joe Toledo. OT from Washington, was a TE for his first 3 years in college so you know he'll be good in our system. i would love this guy with a 3rd round comp pick. _________________

From a mobility stand point he sounds good (Lepsis used to be a TE).
I wonder if we try another George Foster type big over 300 pounds mobile type. _________________ Westy |

i don't think so because we already have george. i'm not sure how our system would handle 2 huge tackles. imo we need to be able to move at least one of them outside on screens and toss plays.
and i've started to soften on the broncos picking marcus mcneil. sure he's big, and he can look slow at times, but if he keeps his weight in check and doesn't lose focus he could be a real good one. he's got much better feet than i originally gave him credit for. _________________

I would be happy to get either Winston Justice, Marcus McNeil, Orien Harris or Eric Winston. To a lesser extent Daryn Colledge.
its a nice draft for OT and i think we need to cash in. _________________ Westy |

The thing about um, Marcus McNeill, is that he will strictly be a RT in the pros. I'm calling it now. He wouldn't even work at all in our system.
If you want to talk guys in the 3-4 rounds, look no further than Rashad Butler of Miami who can play LT and RT at a very high level. I'm sorry, but he beats Joe Toledo by a mile. Joe Toledo right now would be probably a fifth rounder, if even that. Just too many tackles ahead of him. _________________
