Panthers agreed to terms with RB Jonathan Stewart on a five-year, $36.5 million extension.

GM Marty Hurney wasn't kidding when he said Stewart wasn't on the trade block. The deal includes $22.5 million guaranteed.
I hope this doesn't lead to a holdout next year though b/c Forte is still underpaid now.

I doubt he would…if he did the Bears would hold all the leverage.
I know Matt's not that guy, but his deal was a bargain basement price compared to the rest of the RBs of his ilk.

Of course it is but at the end of the day Matt & his agent agreed to it…it’s not like he is getting peanuts lol.

Stewart's deal makes those of Foster and McCoy look subpar too. He got overpaid. If Matt had gotten 5 years instead of 4 like the other 3 did I suspect his guarantees would have been higher too.

Random Bear Thought:

Chad Johnson got cut (NO I'M NOT SUGGESTING WE SIGN HIM!!!), that leaves the Dolphins with Davonne Bess, Brian Hartline, and a couple other nobodies. If they came calling for Earl Bennett, what is the least you would give him up for?

Jake Long Laughing

I don’t think I would let him go…for the first time in years we have multiple weapons on the outside and I reckon we would be better just holding on to them...even getting our 3rd back wouldn’t interest me…we could contact them and try and get a late round pick for Sanz.

Did you like Don Knotts in it? I like him in everything else, but in Three's Company, he annoyed the heck out of me.

Imagine all the people who bought any Dolphin jersey ever that doesn't have Marino on it. Laughing

When I was down there for the Miami game in 2010, the jerseys of choice were Marino and #5 RAY FINKLE. No joke. Laces out, Dan.
