I tend to fall in love with new shows that never seem to last but I REALLY like this show. Nice balance of humor and emotion, so many characters to like for a variety of reasons.

Anyone else watching?

Watched a bit of the premiere. Looked really schmaltzy, with walking clichés for characters.

This looked really bad from the previews.

I really liked it as well. It's very well written and the characters are engaging and for the most part, likable. It's getting terrible ratings though. That is due to the fact that it drew a tough time slot and the subject matter is very depressing. That premier episode was pretty sad. People use television to escape from their daily woes and watching a bunch of terminally ill kids, fighting for their lives, isn't very uplifting. Something with such heavy themes would best be served as a film instead of a television series. It's too bad, because it's a very good show.
