I say no. Plax has a reputation for not always showing up to play. I'll take Mike Williams any day ahead of Plaxico. Burress will also cost us an arm and a leg to sign. I'd rather use our free agent money on defense.

He has yet to live up to his potential, and he will be demanding a higher salary than he has earned with his play on the field.

If he willcome to us for the salary he has earned, then sure, but if not, we don't need him.

Howabout Derrick Mason?????? He is the only one who is not being released for how he plays or his attitude.

Mason is really short. I want a young, big, physical WR. Mason is neither.

Well said, Cowboys73. The only game the guy every played was against the Ravens when Shannon Sharp glossed him with "Plexiglass." We don't need him. Let the Redskins overpay for him. However, I would be all over Mason. He, on the other hand, does nothing but put up big time numbers while being constantly double teamed. I dont care about height. I care about performance (see Marvin Harrison). And if we pick up Mason, we might as well pick up Rolle while were there. You gotta love the Tennessee garage sale.

I care about his height. I also care about his age. When did a 31 year old player suddenly become young?

If you people are concerened with the ages of Keyshawn and Glenn, then you should also be concerened with Mason's age.

Parcells wants YOUTH, not just experience. Mason would play for 2 years, then we'd cut him. At that rate, we'd lose Keyshawn, Glenn and Mason at the same time. How effective can a team be when it loses all 3 of its WR's because of age?

Burress would really make us a much more potent offense. If he's not terribly expensive (he shouldn't be, he was never overproductive), I'd love to have him.

Burress has never lived up to the potential he showed at Michigan State. Look at his numbers compared to Heinz Ward (no matter the Quarterback). For all his size, hands, & speed - the numbers don't warrant his attitude and salary requirements. He strikes me as another Alvin Harper after he left Dallas. That was a great move for Tampa Bay - let's not be Tampa this year. Let someone else re-learn that lesson.

I agree. But I also think that all of our available free agent money should be used on defense. If we can sign enough defensive players, we can focus on Mike Williams in the draft. Having youth on offense at skill positions is key to any team. We have youth at QB, RB, TE, some of the O-line, but not WR. That HAS to be addressed, and a free agent WR would cost a lot of money..money we'd be better suited to use on improving the defense.

well....I think if there is a coach that can turn him into an every down player(not saying it will happen) Parcells is the guy! Just think how effective we would be in the red zone with 6'5'' witten 6'5'' Plax and 6'4'' Keyshawn. Razz

Just having him would eliminate any urge to get MW or BE and let us finally rest at ease on offense (besides the QB mess)

If MW or BE are still there at #11 i think i would still strongly urge their pick if we get Coles, Porter, or Mason. I just don't feel secure with these guys to fill the void or at least feel the void for yrs to come.

I would rather have MW or BE either one but out of all the FA'S i still think Plax is the best option!! Wink
