Welcome to the Asian culture. She sounds very Asian as opposed to being "Americanized". I work with a lot of traditional Asians. It's different with lots of superstitions and such. An introduction or nod of approval from an elder is HUGE! Congrats.

Rap doesnt make good money plain and simple. Bills got to be paid and the kinda stuff Drake makes pays the bills.

It may pay the bills but it's freaking god awful.

I like about half of Drake's stuff. Not much from So Far Gone. About half of Thank Me Later and around half of Take Care.

The songs I like though, I like a lot for the most part. The ones I don't though I can't listen to

I mean, I can understand that. I've heard stuff that "isn't as bad as the rest" and I'm sure that's the songs you listed haha. Since I've gotten older, I've just became more fond of "skate rap" or "hip hop" as it's kind of labeled now much like Cyne. I can't stop giving those dudes props. Probably the best "rap" I've heard in a very long time. Then again, I used to love MC Eiht back in the day so maybe I've always been more prone to the chill stuff haha

Yeah I gotta check out some skate hiphop. Most of the hiphop/rap I listen to is Gangsta like Biggie, 50, Pac, Dre, TI or Lil Wayne (only 1 album haha).

I also like some of the 420 rap like Wiz, ASAP, Snoop and Dre.

Not sure what to call Jay-Z but I like him too

Alot of people sleep on 50 cent's old material Power of the dollar, all of his old mix tapes and so on.

Thats because we heard it once and moved on with our lives.

I guess my point is a lot people remember him as Mr. " Candy Shop " as opposed to the hungry up and comer willing to battle anybody. I wish he hadn't gone Soo commercial haha

Seeing as how you're "already knowing" be sure to refrain from referring to your baby's momma as being part "Jap" as you probably won't make it through Dim Sum. Laughing She'll be hella disappointed in you. tisk tisk Laughing

thats just my guy talk slang and being to lazy to type out jap..... lol

actually the talk went hella good and surprisingly we have a lot in common. due to our schedules we can only see each other on the weekends but she has potential. She is actually originally from richmond ca lol so her and her whole family have a lil edge to them but they are very traditional.

Knowing we got fellow Laker fans in here, how do we feel about this:

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--kobe-bryant-and-the-lakers-face-uncertain-future-after-early-playoff-exit.html

Quote:
Bryant will be 34 years old by the start of next season, but his age and health should rank far down on the Lakers' list of concerns. The Lakers' talented big men, Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum, frustrated the team with their inconsistency and occasional indifference during the playoffs. No one will be surprised if the Lakers explore trade offers for one – or even both – of them. Point guard could again become a position of need. The Lakers also were limited by their slow adjustment to coach Mike Brown.

...

Gasol had 14 points and 16 rebounds, but Bryant voiced his frustration with him throughout the game. Bynum had just 10 points and four rebounds in a foul-plagued performance. Point guard Ramon Sessions missed five of his six shots and committed six turnovers. The Lakers' bench was outscored 35-5.

"I’m not going to speak on the record about it,” Bryant said when asked about his teammates' play.
The Lakers trailed by six when Brown elected to sit Bryant at the start of the fourth quarter. By the time Bryant returned to the court less than two minutes later, the Lakers were down 14. Bryant didn't complain publicly about Brown's decision to rest him.
"Obviously, I was in good rhythm," Bryant said. "But that’s what we do."

Sounds like Kobe is frustrated with everyone like I am. Sessions blew. It took Kobe getting on Pau's nuts to get him to produce. Bynum disappeared.

Mike Brown is an idiot in my eyes too. I'm wondering if they go all in to get Howard, who still apparently wants to be dealt from Orlando. Kobe+Shaq 2.0?

^^

I'm not a laker fan but Mike Brown is defnitely an idiot. He can't control his players.

I think the Lakers should either get rid of Bynum or Pau. Neither is effective in the high post. They also need some consistent three point shooters. All the missed 3's really hurt them in the playoffs.

I cant blame Kobe for being frustrated. Pau went MIA to much in the playoffs and Bynum did at times to. I dont think Brown is the right coach either, and thought that from the second he was hired. It just seemed like Kobe was trying his best to motivate the guys but he couldnt do it on his own.

Mike Brown isnt the guy to rally the troops imo. Kobe refereed to the same tactic to motivate the bigs and they responded once, the other time they didnt. I do think some of the blame falls on Kobe though, he wasnt exactly clutch for the majority of the series and you could tell he didnt have full faith in the supporting cast (although I cant blame him there with the way they played at times).

Both Pau and Bynum will be shopped, and I expect one to be moved. It should be an interesting off season in any event.
