Whats everybodys opinion on what we should do? If I own this team, I'm starting the rebuild now. Chris Paul is gone, and besides him we have zero talent. Get rid of him now and get some good pieces to build off of. _________________

I wish. Chris Paul on the Clippers would be beyond raw. Paul, Gordon and Griffin? Jesus. _________________

Should've kept Collison last year and trade Paul for multiple pieces. _________________

I just want Paul off of this team. They're not committed to winning and they have terrible pieces. Chris Paul doesn't deserve this. _________________

they'd ask for more than just that.
They might want to get rid of Okafor's contract as well. _________________

should have kept Bayless and Peja too.
I think Collison would have been nice to have as CP3's backup for the entire season again. There wasn't really a huge need to trade him. _________________

The train of thought was that getting rid of Collison shows CP3 this is his team, it brings in pieces to win NOW and it would hopefully get us to the playoffs and bring in fans. It was a risky call that didn't pay off. I think the Hornets need to cut ties with CP3 now and get as much value as they can, I don't think the above trade is NEARLY enough for just CP3. If you take on Okafurs contract to, sure. For just CP3, thats not even close. _________________

I'll agree with the sentiments here (except for Golfer's). I'm pretty disappointed with Chris Paul. I'm pretty sure he's been corrupted by the power in this league, and isn't the type of person he sold himself to be to the fans, at least at the beginning of his tenure.
He plays with virtually no heart, and he has completely checked out. For someone who supposedly cares about the city and the team, it's pretty disappointing. Granted, our GM's really haven't been making the right moves, but as a player, particularly a superstar, you don't just walk out. I hate the lack of competitiveness I see on this team. It really appears as if they've already given up. It's a mentally weak team, and Chris Paul as the leader of this team, the most talented player, needs to be the one that leads by example and give it his all every night. Instead, he just appears content to lose and run out his contract until he can leave.
So, we should trade him. Get some young pieces back, and start rebuilding. Trade David West too and definitely get rid of Okafor's contract.
The organization is struggling monetarily and without Chris Paul it's only going to get worse. Demps really messed this one up. Really badly.
I won't say I wish ill will on Chris Paul (though if he goes to the Knicks to try and form that big 3 I seriously might just stop watching basketball), but I've definitely lost a lot of respect for him and he's no longer near one of my favorite players in the league. From my perspective, he's turned into a smarter LeBron. I think he's turned selfish, but he's not as much of an idiot to portray himself as the bad guy.
I hope I'm wrong, and he stays and really tries to bring a championship to NOLA, but it just doesn't look that way. _________________

cp3 not trying....demps+monty so far=fail, if this keeps up and we cant make a big trade to upgrade this team hurry up and trade him to NY and steal all their trade pieces before the nugs do. _________________ dodgers, hornets, saints, real madrid, arsenal, roma |

I love Monty Williams and I like Demps as well, they just tried to hard to keep CP3 happy and it ended up biting them in the [inappropriate/removed]. This could've been avoided if CP3 had just kept his freaking mouth shut and played. We'd have an incredibly good team that plays good defense with a very good PG coming off the bench. Now we suck offensively and the second CP3 leaves the court we sputter to a creeping halt. _________________

Why would ever think otherwise?
Assists doesn't mean 'not selfish'. _________________

monty seems cool, but hes been absolutely horrible since the hot start, we keep losing and he wont change the rotations or offensive gameplan at all, thornton thing needs 2 end.. _________________ dodgers, hornets, saints, real madrid, arsenal, roma |

No, I'm talking about off the court.
On the court he's not being selfish enough right now. He needs to put the team on his back sometimes and he hasn't this season really. _________________
