Anyone remember the "trade Rodgers for Moss" idea that was floating around after his 2nd year I think? Could you imagine where this franchise would be?

I've been big on Rodgers for a long time now... Hell, after the Cowboys game in the 2007 season when Rodgers nearly brought us back from a big deficit, I knew he was the future of the franchise. Of course, most people thought I was crazy whenever I brought up the notion that I was fine with Rodgers taking over in 2008--of course, I brought this up prior to Favre's retirement. My dad especially thought I was nuts that I would pass up Favre after one of the best years of his career for someone who was totally unproven.

Now? I just get to rub it in his face. Because I was right Wink

I remember April 23, 2005. I was moving into my house with my soon to be wife. Our families were here helping us move. I finally got my soon to be in-laws to switch from the Brewers game over to the draft (my first power play). The pick was coming up, and Rodgers was dropping. My best friend called me from Sweeden and said "holy schlitz (or something like that) we're going to get Rodgers!" Then the Raiders traded up ahead of us. We both thought we were screwed. My friend hung up in frustration. The Raiders needed a QB. Do they take Rodgers? No, they take Fabian Washington. Very Happy Shocked Very Happy Shocked Very Happy

The TT showed the cojones he has and took Rodgers. My father in law to be said "they don't need a QB! what are they doing?" (thankfully he's come fully around) My buddy called me back in disbelief. We both just couldn't believe that we had a chance at having two great QB's in a row. It was just a great day. I've loved Rodgers from the beginning. We are so unbelievably lucky to have the the management and the QB in place for the foreseeable future. In TT I trust!

Rodgers put up gaudy stats in the SB, but that only counts in fantasy football. His defense had to bail him out at the end by stopping the Steelers. Plus Collins had that pick-six. Packers only won by 6, take that TD away, and they lose.

He's over-rated because he might get injured.

The guy doesn't have passion on the field like ole Brett. Where's the fireman carries, the butt slapping, messing around with the zebras, heck...even the snow ball fights.

He's just not having fun out there like a kid.

Definitely a system guy. Can't play in the wildcat.

He takes plays off. A couple of times a game he'll throw the ball out of the field of play - not even near a receiver. Very sketchy accuracy.

Still in Favre"s shadow, a non-topic at this point.

He's not really that good because if he played in an offensive system like the Steelers he wouldn't be putting up big fantasy numbers.

But all kidding aside...

He's beginning to cast his own shadow.
