Hey, hey, don't be too hasty. JoePa can't offer Canaan a corvette, like some other schools out there, but he can offer him SuePa's world famous spaghetti. |

Mentions of it have come up for a year now. It was only a matter of time before it got mainstream.
Its a sad story. I hope it isn't true, but if it is, he should be punished appropriately.
It shouldn't affect the program except for some bad press. |

Moye won't play in the spring game, because of a concussion. We will get to see what the young guys can do.
Positions that currently have me worried for this season are:
QB: Somebody needs to step up, I don't care who it is: McGloin, Bolden, Jones, Newsome.
DE: The rest of the defense looks great: best secondary we've had in years, athletic LB core, and some solid interior linemen. However, the loss of Massaro doesn't help an already down defensive end position, Crawford and Latimore have been disappointments. Lets hope Stanley and Olaniyan make some plays for us.
Oline: We have some experience, but the way the line has started the last few years doesn't give me much hope. (I do expect it to be at least slightly better than last year's line to start the season.)
TE: Injuries have crippled the position. Haplea played as well as he could last year as a freshman, but I hope Szczerba is healthy by the start of the season.
The team shows promise, even with the above worries, and I'm a lot more optimistic about the season than I was last year. We have lots of talent at the skill positions and our D should be back amongst the top, even with the DE problems.
In recruiting news:
The next two weekends will see a lot of big name recruits on campus. Lets hope they enjoy their visits. I expect a couple commitments after the Blue-White game on the 16th. |

We don't like Ohio State. They don't like us. We can be intelligent and not get into verbal confrontations like we have in the past, but in the months leading up to the season, why not get the friendly rivalry underway early.
C'mon now, Steagles.. besides, nobody is taking Linebacker U from us.
We've gotten our recruiting class well underway and I couldn't be happier about it. We certainly need to A - begin generating some legitimate interest with the top flight recruits, and B - HIT when we land one of the top flight recruits.
..because let's all face it, our recruiting of the mid-range guys and the unsung recruits who we seem to target and pluck the easy-caliber guys we always want. I also think with Dave Wannstedt out at Pitt, the Panthers immediate recruiting will suffer a touch, and Rutgers is beginning to slide just a pinch. We need to re-claim Pennsylvania in the recruiting game. It surely would have been nice to have Jon Baldwin out wide for the past 3 seasons.
Sandusky's situation is a wash to me. How much flack can we possibly take for a former staff member. Besides, winning is great deodorant. _________________

Are you a prophet? Penn State lands 6th commitment from *5 Jarron Jones.

He seemed to be a PSU lean, but I didn't expect him to commit this early. It appears to be a "soft" verbal, but a verbal all the same. Watch out for other teams trying to jump in on him, especially if we have a terrible season, which I don't expect.
Anyways, Jarron is a beast. If we can land Spence, which I expect we will, this could be a special class for the trenches.
Our recruiting has big momentum now, expect a couple more commits this weekend, or shortly thereafter.

He's Huge too. I hope that he makes his decision final. He could be an anchor on that Defensive Line. This class is already looking 10x better than last year. _________________

Thanks. I looked through them a few times and am probably gonna opt for something plainer. I only wear hats once in awhile, but I wanna add a PSU one to my collection. I have a PSU baseball type on, but want a New ERA. Might wo with the blue with the S on the front. White hats get to dirty to fast. _________________
