|

|
Since there are often times where there are gaming deals going on, I decided we need to get a thread going so that posters can give each other a heads-up on current "steals and deals" going on in the gaming world.
Here's a few I noticed.
Gamestop is currently selling select EA titles for $20 off.
These games are $20 bucks off
List includes games such as Dragon Age II and Crysis 2.
Also, Gamestop is doing 50% trade-in bonus on all trade-ins and $25 credit on systems you trade in. _________________ Come Follow The Great NSFL!

Think I can get anything decent for MW2? Or do you think they'll have a different deal when MW3 comes out? I want to trade it in. _________________

It's got 10 dollars of trade-in value at Gamestop. Go tonight or tomorrow and you can get 50% trade-in bonus.
15 bucks basically, unless you're a power up member, then it's 16. Not bad for a game that's been out for 18 months and already been succeeded by another game since. _________________ Come Follow The Great NSFL!

PC games > all
Gamestop = devil
Trading games = bad long term strategy
Steam is where I get 95% of my gaming entertainment nowadays. _________________
Sanity and happiness are an impossible combination.
Trading for another game or trading in?
I refuse to use Amazon or any of that anymore. I've had too many immature and ignorant people online try to scam me or file false claims on Amazon.
Had one person try to claim that they had sent me money for an Xbox 360 (that I had removed from the SALE list for weeks) and claim that I not only received the most, but refused to refund them since there was no Xbox.
Another person scammed me out of 10 bucks when I sent UFC 2010 for 45
Best thing is wait until Gamestop has deals. Right now I'm about to ell Mario Brothers Wii for 41 bucks to them. Definitely a steal IMO. (I only paid 35 for it 6 months ago) _________________ Come Follow The Great NSFL!

Amazon the website gives you credit on certain games. Just look to the right of the page of a certain game to see how much credit you can get. _________________

I still have Playstation games. Never traded one in. Don't regret it either. Sets a bad precedent in life if you're always leveraging yourself to get stuff.
If you can't afford it just wait until you can. _________________
Sanity and happiness are an impossible combination.
Are you a horder? I sell things I no longer want...
I bought DiRT 2 on eBay months ago, for $14.60. Played the hell out of that game, traded it to GameStop the other day for $15.00 credit. Failing to see how that was a bad move...lol _________________

I would say it sets a bad precedent to keep around stuff you'll never use again that you could get money for _________________

When I was in college I worked at a Game Stop for a couple months as one of those turrible "managers" and let me tell you the people that trade stuff in tend to be less than intelligent.
As for hording I move probably once every two years. If that's hording capable I must be awesome at lifting things.
I can see from the insults that most of you do trade your stuff in. Good for you enjoy the squalor that follows. _________________
Sanity and happiness are an impossible combination.
As far as insulting goes, I think you need to look in the mirror.
Do you actually play your old Playstation games anymore? I've sold all of my SNES, PS1, PS2 stuff because I have no real need, or want to ever play it again. (and even if I do, I just download the ROM on my computer).
And how are people that "trade" stuff less intelligent? I trade things constantly. Allows me to constantly have new stuff, for little to no extra cost for me. Nice little example...I bought "The Saboteur" used, for $13 on ebay...then traded that, and a dumb Lego Batman game (free with my console), for "Enslaved". I then beat that, and traded Enslaved...for Assassins Creed Brotherhood. Now once I'm finished playing this, I'll likely end up trading this for Dead Space 2, or HomeFront..and then they'll get traded for something newer...
Outside of the $1.73 shipping cost, I paid $13 for 3 games...and each one got progressively newer in release date.
Care to tell me how that's "dumb" in any way? No reason to hang on to things unless it's something I really like. Video games all degrade in value over time, generally, so it's probably best to get as much for them while the value is still high. Still have RS3: Raven Shield for the PC that I bought like 8 years ago... _________________
