thats who i want with the first pick. |
The only knock is that he doesn't have a good offensive game(from what I saw last year). He has great size and strength and he's very good rebounder and defender. If we trade down I woulden't mind taking him |
imo he is sneaky good, plays effortlessly and could develop into a lebron type sf/pf _________________

I think Jones will be a solid starter. Probably be 16-10 player on his best year. imo he's a perfect 4, don't think he's skilled enough to play the 3 right now.
I have a feeling that Iggy is going to be a dub in 24 hours _________________

| Hopefully the Cavs don't take Dion Waiters. Even though that would push more talent to the #7 pick, I think he's #1 on the Warriors board (of the realistic draft options). He was the biggest sleeper in this draft IMO. |

So apparently Jerry West is infatuated with Waiters. Waiters would be our James Harden off the bench, gets to the line, slashes and distributes pretty well, can shoot from the outside but isn't that great of a shooter.
The question is, what do we do with at the 3? Leave Wright to start there and spell him with Macquire and Rush? _________________

We have a few options. Depending on how ready Waiters is to play right away, Thompson could move to the 3 when he's on the floor. But I think Brandon Rush should see the majority of the minutes there this season, with McGuire being his backup. Hopefully both are brought back.
I want nothing to do with Wright or Jefferson. |

I've heard a lot about Dion Waiters to GS. I would love to take him if MKG/Barnes aren't there. Still think we pull a trade _________________

Not sure what the FO will do in that situation but if Barnes is there we better take him, we need a SF bad. _________________

The Warriors dominated. I think they had Waiters rated higher then Barnes, but Barnes addressed a bigger need, and presented good value. Ezili and Green were great value picks who have real chances of being good contributors off the bench.
I'll give this draft a solid A. Back to back great drafts IMO. |

I loved this draft, got really good value with each pick.
The Barnes pick was great because we now have our 3 for the future, and now we can finally have Wright come off the bench where he's better suited.
And beefed up our depth with Ezeli and Green. Especially love the Green pick as I think he can produce from day 1 as an energy guy off the bench/getting boards and giving Lee a rest. And Ezeli can hone his skills under one of the best defensive big men in the NBA in Bogut (along with Tyler). _________________

Love what we did with the draft. Barnes was becoming out of reach in the past few weeks, but luckily he fell into our laps. He has a lot to work on, but he definitely has great work ethic and desire to improve. Everyone we drafted (other than the Euro stash) is NBA ready and will make an impact on our team in their first year. Super excited for that.
LOVE the Ezeli pick. Was hoping he'd still be there at 30, and he was. Physical presence who plays defense and has a good head on his shoulders.
Green was also a very solid pickup. Surprised he fell to #35. Sounds like a he can become a good rotation player for us for years to come. _________________

Best Warriors draft ever?
I knew we would pick Barnes this whole time...he definitely has superstar potential.
And I am so happy that Green fell to us! He was a dominant player in college at Michigan State. In the NBA he can be a huge spark of the bench subbing in for Lee.
I don't really know much about the other 2 players we drafted, but nonetheless, I'm excited as hell! _________________ (MLB)=A's, (NFL)=Raiders, (NBA)= Warriors

The Warriors remaining priorities should be to...
1. sign a good backup PF
2. trade Jefferson and/or Wright
3. sign a PG to compete with Jenkins for Curry's backup position |

I agree with 2 and 3.
As far as (1) goes, you don't think Green will be fine as the backup PF? _________________ (MLB)=A's, (NFL)=Raiders, (NBA)= Warriors
