Well, here comes another AC.
Another new protagonist.
According to The Examiner the main character in Black Flag is Edward Kenway, the father of Haytham Kenway from last year's Assassin's Creed III. Edward is described as a privateer, assassin, and "occasional" pirate.
The report further claims that Black Flag will be set in the Caribbean. Players will reportedly get to travel to multiple islands, including Jamaica, Cuba, and the Bahamas.
The game will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 ( with exclusive content), Wii U and PC platforms.
Gamespot will have more details on Monday
I loved the naval battles in AC3 so if we get more of this + pirates, I'll be excited _________________

Dont buy.the first one. That was one of the most repetitive games ever.
Also, they are going full activision and running this series into the ground. _________________

The whole series is repetitive....
At least the ending in the first one was somewhat good. _________________

Compared to the first one? Nah. You literally had like 3 missions you did over and over before you assasinate someone. _________________

Yeah the first is extremely repetitive. Before every assassination you either had to pickpocket a letter, eavesdrop, or beat up a herald. Every single time. _________________

Seems like it could be good. The naval missions in AC3 were my favorite part of the game.

Agreed about the Naval part
Pirates might make for a more colorful cast of characters
I might be alone...and don't get me wrong it was fine....but I was let down by AC3. It's probably for the best that they change settings this quickly. _________________

Your crazy. I loved the revolutionary war part. Would love them to build a AC around another war. _________________

I hope this ends up being a good game, but right now it looks awful. Did they really need the gimmick of pirates?
I just hope whoever replaces Desmond has just as awesome ancestors and the storyline stays the way it is. |
