How the heck did they get Lively for Marlon Byrd? Did RAJ just make a good move or is Lively's arm about to fall off?

Marlon Byrd is a good play. Six weeks of him was enough to net Dilson Herrera and Vic Black in 2013, so 1-2 seasons of him should have been able to net a nice return, especially with the Phillies eating half of the guaranteed money.

Lively's upside isn't likely very high. He projects as a solid back of the rotation starter.

This is an appropriate return for Byrd.
