With Wrigley Field celebrating 100 years, it's only behind Fenway as the oldest ballparks in MLB. They are two of the most famous ballparks, but how long will the Cubs and Red Sox make these 2 places home?

Are these ball parks that will continue to be refurbished as things break down, or will the teams see new homes in the next 10, 20, 30 years? Obviously fans will always be attached to the old homes, but Wrigley and Fenway will eventually due to safety issues or other reasons have to be replaced.

What are reasonable expectations for these ball parks?

If it ever happens to Fenway will they re-create the Green Monster? Keep the same dimensions?

Hated to see the Yankees build a new park, and would hate to see those two go as well, but I think it's inevitable that by 2030 they'll be gone

I see them doing renovations and updating it rather than building new ones. Lambeau has done that.

Those 2 will never be replaced unless something unforeseen happens to them. Way too much tradition and money to be made off of them

At least with Fenway, the renovations has made it a pretty good ballpark.

Wrigley though...

Engineers have told the team that the structure could remain in use until as late as 2061

I know in the early 2000's there was talk of them building a modern Fenway park. With all of the features(the monster, the triangle, etc)
