Man tough draw. Definitely a bit nervous about the group stages now. I see Madrid and City getting through however, City have gained some experience from last year and are just too talented to lose this early again. Tough luck for Dortmund. _________________

Exact same thing can be said for Dortmund. _________________

Fair enough. Dortmund are a great team, and any other group and they would have def gotten through, but Madrid and City are just a bit more talented IMO. _________________

It's the depth of both clubs. City went into this off season wanting to ensure that their back ups are good enough to be CL quality players. I think with Rodwell, Sinclair, Garcia and that Fiorentina CB that I can't spell but I know is pretty good are hopefully upgrades to what they played last season in the CL. I am not sure if Dortmund has the depth to really focus on both competitions and succeed the way City and Madrid can. _________________

Rodwell and Sinclair are hardly anything that special. Dortmund have attacking depth in abundance and the same in the CM spot. It's more the defence that would concern me, Kirch is nowhere near good enough to fill in for Piszczek and I don't think we can effectively cover for Hummels, Subotic or Schmelzer either. _________________

Ronaldo goes off picking up a knock. Hope it is minor. _________________

Good win. I hope the Ronaldo injury is nothing serious, but I am a bit concerned because he went off rather then going for the hattrick. Oh and Luka looked great on the ball today, showed nice touch and vision. _________________

I thought you were suggesting those numbers were recipe for guaranteed success in the group stage. _________________

Cristiano Ronaldo on Facebook
| Quote: | | That I am feeling sad and have expressed this sadness has created a huge stir. I am accused of wanting more money, but one day it will be shown that this is not the case. At this point, I just want to guarantee to the Real Madrid fans that my motivation, dedication, commitment and desire to win all competitions will not be affected. I have too much respect for myself and for Real Madrid to ever give less to the club than all I am capable of. Abrazos to all madridistas |
