Downing lol, was great to see him relegated to LB
£20 Million, no PL Goals, No PL Assists....and seemingly has little future there....nice to see it turned out well for him
Plus Yesterdays squad was the youngest ever in PL History, Average Age 23 Years 309 days. _________________

Not sure what you are questioning. The age of our starting 11 would make sense that they are 23 and 309 days. The two oldest in the starting 11 was Guz and Holman, both 28, and the next oldest after that is 23 (a few players). And several younger than that.
I have no idea if that is the youngest squad or starting 11 ever if that is what you are asking. |

What?
EL20 said that is the youngest squad in the Prem, but I don't think they fielded the youngest starting XI in the Prem (or at least I don't think so). What is there to grasp? _________________

Was looking at our top transfers on our current roster: Bent, Zog, Ireland, Delph, Benteke, Stan, Makoun Dunne, Vlaar, Given, Hutton. God there are some players there I never want to see again. Take out Benteke Stan and Vlaar, I hope I never see the rest of them in a Villa uniform outside of reserve games. _________________

God, we just gave up at the end and gave back the three points. This team has such lapses at times it is pathetic. We didn't deserve that win but the way the game played out we should've held on. _________________

so a name being bandied about that we're interested in is Coutinho, from Inter. Let's hope there's some validity to that, because he would really help us create more goals from the midfield.
There was also talk of Lescott coming here, but I think that's died down quite a bit. It's a shame, because he would be another guy who would make a huge difference for our team. _________________

Coutinho and Lescott would be PERFECT players for Villa. Coutinho would be especially good, I really like him and I think he just needs so more first team appearance to be a good player. Lescott would get some veteran leadership that we need plus another scoring option off of set pieces. _________________

I have a feeling both are out of our capabilities....I just dont see Villa as an attractive destination for either.
Villa badly need Experience, Depth and more importantly Leadership, need a veteran leader at the back, Hopefully Vlaar is back real soon as hes missed badly... and we Need a Vocal leader in the middle....how badly we miss Stan...
Do or die today for me, Villa lose I cant help but see Championship and falling away like Coventry, Sheff Wednesday when they fell out the prem etc... _________________

Lescott would be good, while Coutinho is a nice player you don't need any more youngsters. _________________

I think Villa need 2-4 experienced players to step into the starting 11. I'd say a CBa couple of midfielders and a ST, you have to start playing Bent. He will score goals and that's what you desperately need. _________________
