Man.. if Medlan can honestly stay on the role he's been on trough the playoffs... he himself could bring us deep into the postseason.

Bought a ticket to Game 3 of the NLDS at Nationals Park. Now it's all up to the Braves to make it there so I can see it. But I'll be selling it if the Braves lose the wild card game, and if the Braves wind up playing the Reds in the divisional round.

Playoffs, baby! Playoffs! 
And 4 games back of the Nats w/ 8 games left to play. We play the struggling Marlins, Mets, and Pirates. The Nats play the surging Phillies and a tough St. Louis club. We've still got a shot at avoiding the WC game.

IDK if this was mentioned, but last week Jayson Stark wrote a column about how he thinks Kimbrel should be Cy Young. And he threw out these stats:
Strikeouts: 105 in 57 1/3 IP, the best strikeout ratio ever (16.5/9 IP)
Opponent AVG.: .128, the lowest against any pitcher since 1900
Opponent OPS: .368, the lowest against any pitcher in the expansion era
WHIP: 0.68, best by any National League reliever since 1900
Percentage of hitters struck out: 49.5 pct., best in live-ball era
Strikeout-to-hit ratio: 105 whiffs, 25 hits (4.2), best of all time
