Chelsea almost got another teen sensation but he's move was denied.
Quote: | Chelsea target Kevin de Bruyne has revealed his frustration at not being allowed to complete a move from Racing Genk.
The Belgian starlet has been heavily courted by Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, with the former Porto manager hoping to make the player his sixth young signing of the summer.
However, Chelsea were told on deadline day that the player would not be allowed to make an England move, despite the club's reported willingness to loan De Bruyne back to his homeland for a season.
"I'm disappointed in the attitude of Genk. I do not want any controversy, but I'm disappointed. Chelsea was a very nice offer, the club wanted me to stay for one year in Genk," said the 20-year-old midfielder.
"I hope it still goes on, because this is a dream for me.
"I wanted to give everything for one year in Genk and with a good feeling to say goodbye to the club and the supporters."
Player agent Patrick de Koster confirmed the party still hope a deal can be done in the future, and De Bruyne would join compatriot Romelu Lukaku at the club if a deal could be agreed to bring the player to Chelsea.
"We are having discussions about a transfer and I have a meeting with Genk and we will have to see what can be resolved," he told skysports.com. |

Overall spending this window. How does Kempus like seeing his squad as the fourth most frugal team this summer? Spent less than the three newly promoted clubs. Huge gap between the "top 5" and the rest of the PL. _________________

You cannot buy/sell a player under contract, who does not want to leave _________________

Fulham spent their money on two players. Did pretty good business this window though. I think Ruiz and Kasami are quality players who are both very technical, something our team lacks at time.
I am still impressed by Al Fayed our owner. All this money is coming out of his own pockets. Fulham is in the top 6 or 7 in losses I believe, I don't think Al Fayed is given enough credit. _________________

I think he is one of the best owners in the PL if you discount the tycoons. He guided them for the 3rd division all the way to the PL and have made them into a mid-table staple which sometimes contends in Europe. _________________

Agreed. Plus, there were a few other players that you should've sold. Yet, they bought nobody besides Parker. _________________
