Thats over £135 million, what more do you expect |
IDK. just got excited at a Chelsea transfer period again. |
I believe Chelsea have actually outspent Man City by around £35 million in the last year.... _________________

So it appears, that they are in the market for a new striker. | Lucas Barrios would be absolutely brilliant. Fantastic finisher and a good all around player. There were rumors we agreed a fee for Pavel Pogrebnyak as well. _________________

I forgot to add,
Paizon - £5 million possibly rising to £10 million
Courtois - Not sure but a guestimate of £5 million doesnt sound too unreasonable.
So Chelsea have actually spent closer to £150 million in the last year and have outspent City by nearly £50 million _________________

Yes, German press reports this too now | In all honesty I haven't seen too much of Pogrebnyak, would you be willing to tell me a bit about him? I'd much rather have Barrios though, I'm sure he would cost much more than Pogrebnyak though. _________________

I didn't like, what he did at Stuttgart - slow and big player, but not exactly a goalgetter
That's why they will be happy, if they receive anything in return for him
He's most likely the 3rd backup, now that they signed Ibisevic (other striker Cacau and Schieber)
Barrios would be way better
but Dortmund expects about 10 million € to let him go
and it looks like no team is willing to pay it (yet) _________________

Interessant. | I find this very interesting. If West Ham's bids were as high as reported the fee has got to be at least £8. That seems unlikely seeing as it's Everton but if it is true that is far too much to spend on an SPL striker. _________________

Decent hold up player and good in the air but didn't look terribly full of goals. I find this funny that we are interested then because Jol's complaints about Zamora is that he doesn't get enough goals.
Barrios would be much better and would give us a real scoring threat that we haven't had for most of last season and this one. I heard something like £7m might do it and I would think that would be a wise investment but since we already spent £10.5m on Bryan Ruiz I can't really see that happening. _________________

maybe a switch of the system will help Pavel Pogrebnyak
he had a good season when Zenit won the Euro League/UEFA Cup
but he never regained his form after that
at least he's a good teammate and he won't complain, if he isn't the first choice and keep up his good work ethic _________________

In all honesty just having another forward would be a plus at this point. We only really have Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora at the moment and Andy Johnson is complete rubbish by himself up top. Wonder if we end up selling Johnson if we end up bringing in Pogrebnyak?
Also in non-EPL news Billy Sharp joined promotion hopefuls Southampton today. Should really give them a push towards promotion. _________________

a few confirmed Budesliga transfers from today
- North Korean national player Chong Tese will move from Bochum to Köln
- Austrias national player Zlatko Junuzovic will join Werder Bremen
- Kaiserslautern will sent Gil Vermouth, who just signed with them this summer, on a loan to De Graafschap (Netherlands)
- Lakic will join Hoffenheim on a loan _________________

Is Chong Tese the North Korean striker? He looked quite the player at the world cup and was North Korea's only real glimmering light during their WC campaign. _________________

He isnt a bad signing, but they already have Lambert who, with what I have seen of Sharp, is a pretty similar player.
I think Roberts to Reading is a far more impactful signing tbh. He can certainly give us the lift to get into the playoffs and perhaps push higher. _________________

Not to mention he hasn't played in months. If they can get him back in form though he could end up being quite the signing.
West Ham have checked about Jermaine Beckford as well in more Championship news. _________________
