I think Spain takes the Euros again, if they can figure out their defensive problems which I'm sure will occur in centre-back.

Yes, the team will have loads of possession and is the most patient team ever. But, Carles Puyol fitness concerns me and Pique needs him a lot. No to Raul Albiol starting. He's simply dreadful. Dunno, why Del Bosque (and club coach Jose Mourinho) have faith in him. Sure, he's still young and has potential, but too many mistakes.

In the attacking front, it will be amazing if Fernando Torres regains forms to help Villa and Llorente by scoring goals.

Also, all the fighting that Real Madrid and Barcelona has done isn't helping the "friendships." The national captain Iker yelled his head off at Xavi (a leader for the Barcelona side) in the Spanish Super Cup, and I'm sure tensions will be high when they meet again and this simply isn't helpful for the national side.

I feel like Euro 2012 is Germany's to lose. I think the rivalry between Madrid and Barcelona is far more damaging on the national team level than most people can see.

More than that, I just see Germany as a better team. Better defensively, and their midfield is just as loaded as Spains.

I started singing "A Por Ellos," when I read the thread title. If that's even what the song is called.

I hope they get put in opposite ends of the draw, that would be a wicked final!

Hopefully we see both teams at full strength this time because they are clearly the top two. If Muller didn't get suspended, I think Germany are world champs.

Spain v Chile on FSC right now. Chile is up 1-0 with 15 minutes gone. Brilliant game so far, very open and both teams with very strong lineups.

So after being down 2-0 at halftime Spain puts on a fantastic second half performance and wins 3-2. Iniesta was the turning point, his introduction changed the game completely, Fabregas looked good as well. Very entertaining friendly which ended in a brawl.

IDK why but it's good to see RM and Barca players fighting together rather than with each other. Vidal and Medel are both d-bags so I'm glad they got what they deserved.

It was on FSC so I'm sure they will replay it eventually. You can probably find it online as well, people upload everything. It was a really excellent game.

One thing I noticed which I was kind of interested in, the incident that set off the brawl Iniesta was fouled Vidal and the two started to go at it and Arbeloa stepped in and shoved Vidal to the ground. That is a Real player sticking up for a Barca player, I don't think there is that divide in the squad that everyone thinks. It was really telling to see how quickly Arbeloa lept to Iniesta's defense.

Agreed. Then Busquets jumped in after Arbeloa was pushed and then Sergio Ramos just bulldozed a dude. Laughing
