I simply refuse to believe this is true. England have developed some good technical players and they're gonna throw that away by selecting Sam Allardyce?

They're trying to avoid relegation. Can't blame them after losing to Iceland.

The Steve Bruce leak is just to make the Big Sam hiring more palatable right? There is no way he's in contention...

This is unbelievably embarrassing for England. You might as well just throw Gary Neville into the fire and see how he does. What a waste of two years at the very minimum?

As a short term measure, Big Sam will get the players to believe in themselves again and not be scared of making a mistake.

However, I am unsure if he has the X Factor to win in tournament games. Time will tell.

Really is. Sam isn't an upgrade. They'll be looking for a new manager after the WC. Then I think maybe then Neville may get into the fold.

I just think it's a complete step in the wrong direction. England have a young core of technical players coming through and you hire a coach who got sacked because he was so route one and played crap football.

They should be building around Dier, Alli, Kane, Sturridge, Sterling, etc and not moving away from that.

Gareth Southgate recalled Glen Johnson.

Is this what it feels like to be a Scotland fan?

At least he pulled out due to injury. Pretty hilarious selection though.
