yeah you guys are taking it a little far, they'd never change anything that big.

what we've got to realize, is most of the changes to the show that have been made were made with GRRM's blessing.

As cmstophe and samgurl can attest to, I've been very much in favor of or at least supportive of most of the changes. The kinslaying issue with Jaime I can understand, but everything else I have found very palatable. I just think a lot lot lot of thought is going to be put into The Red Wedding, and as such every change they intend to make will be considered in relation to the scene, so change on some level seems like a somewhat likely outcome.

I just hope that they keep the part about the singers being in disguise. I want to be able to hear the Raines of Castemere and know what is coming.

Oh FOR SURE. Not that it's ground breaking, but you can can can can can quote me on this. Raines of Castemere will be featured in the later promos for next season. Frackin eff, The National was brought on for the cover. The song, the band, the build up; it's going to be the most epic thing ever done on noncable TV. I really believe it.

Thoughts on who the final POV characters will be?

Here is my guess

Arya
Bran
Sansa
Aeron
Victarion
Theon
Davos
Dany
Tyrion
Jaime
Melisandre
Jon
Cercei
Maege Mormont (my hope)
Samwell
Areo Hotah
Mance?

Jon Connington.

I hope there's never another Aeron chapter.

I think Sarella Sand might become a POV character too.

That's unfortunate. Aeron is the worst. Even Brienne is better than him.

I'm still interested to see where he ran off to.

I forgot about Arienne as well, she is confirmed. So it'll likely be her instead of Areo Badass

So far, this is probably the hardest book to read (4th one). Sure, I suppose it's nice to have a lot of different perspectives... but it feels like it jumps around so damn much, and some of the characters I really don't care for (Brienne for one, Sam is another - just too much of a whiner, Cersei is reaching that point as well). Funny how some of the stuff comes together from different characters' perspectives, but it's still not as strong as the previous books

GRRM has already come out and stated there won't be any new POV characters. Which is a shame, because I was really holding out hope for a Willas Tyrell chapter or two.

Book 5 jumps around much more.

Beside the prologue, the first chapter was a Bran, and I think it'll end like that.

This is the episode GRRM is directing, I doubt too much gets changed.

Is GRRM Directing an episode this year? Normally he just writes the script to one, right?

And I believe it's the seventh episode, not the ninth he has written.

That's a shame. Although we can assume that we'll get two new POV characters with the prologue and epilogue.
