ya JT was a good signing, and James Johnson is a lot better than anyone weve had at sf.

Thomas Robinson is good and bad in summer league. his athleticism and quickness are shining he's a lot quicker than most people and can run the floor. honestly he might need to spend some time at sf, he can slash and pivot and elbow but he had a hard time banging with the bigger guys, his lack of height and overall size really showed, he got absolutely destroyed by Robert sacre. I could see us using some trob, JT, cousins lineups, if trob can develop his shot consistently he could be a hybrid 3/4

The thing I like about getting Johnson is he's on the last year of his rookie contract, so he's not getting ridiculous amounts of money, and he also gives the Kings a somewhat proven option at the 3 for this year. If they like what they see with him they can extend him and finally have a set in stone 3, or if he bombs, then all that happened was a 2014 2nd rounder was lost and they can take a younger 3 with more potential in the draft (if they're high enough in the lottery).

I'm not so hot on T-Rob being a tweener type player, I sick of drafting all these talented players and never having 1 solid position for them. No one knows where Tyreke will be (best suited as a 1, but I digress), Cousins has split time between the 4 and the 5, Jimmer is a sub 1 or 2, etc. I'd rather just have Thomas stick to 1 position and work on his game from there, that way we know how to build around him in the future based on his strengths and weaknesses.

Johnson is a good defender. Put Evans, T-Will and JJ in and we might actually have some good perimeter D for once.

well unfortunately his size will dictate what happens. if he's having big issues down low in Vegas summer league what's gonna happen when he goes against big men who are talented and experienced and bigger. that was my only issue with taking him and why I wanted Barnes at SF because he has a clearcut position and skillset

This is...interesting to say the least. Why not cut Salmons or Garcia for a roster spot, and did we really need to clear cap room for a small contract?

I don't know why we haven't amnestied Salmons.

I liked Whiteside a heck of a lot more.

WTF!!! whiteside must have some major mental issues, I noticed he got like no playing time in summer league.... watch him turn into a player for another squad.

Aaron Brooks?? dude how many years are we going after him?? how many F'ing guards can you have on one team???

Ugh. So I guess Tyreke isn't moving back to point. And Jimmer isn't going to get any PT this year.

It makes no sense to me how Garcia and Salmons are still on the team but Whiteside gets waived for not doing so great in the summer league.

is he playing 2???

have you seen any part of summer league??? Jimmer is starting and looks god awful, he was airballing wide open 3's, can't take the ball up court against a press (that's like high school basketball....!!!!!) I don't know how many times I can say this guy is garbage and we only took him for jersey sales. he got a fair chance summer league and showed why he's at the bottom of our bench. it was unwatchable trying to see him fake at PG

Yea, i totally agree with everything you said this organization makes no sense to me sometimes. So does this signing of Aaron Brooks mean no T-Will?

this Brooks signing now that our pathetic front office got us to the salary cap FLOOR we probably can't afford to also resign twill because we want to barely get over the cap floor and not pay anymore because our owners lost all their money on a stupid condo project in vegas

I've tried to get a feeling of this team's train of thought for the past 3 years, and every time I think that I have a bead on it, they do something stupid like this...

Seriously, who do they expect to play defense this year? Hassan was raw and fragile, but at least he had a chance to alter shots, seeing as how all he did at Baylor was play defense. Sure, Johnson is good, Tyreke is meh to say the least, but this team is a bunch of scorers and athletic big men who can't play a lick of defense...ugh...
