Trolololol. They did both go to Vandy, I guess. _________________

| Saints I could easily see missing the playoffs and delving into the realm of mediocrity for the season. Maybe Brees keeps them to a certain level of play, but look at last year how the team did with Payton just sitting in the booth. Now he's flat out gone. Brees is a helluva player, but it's understated how much that team relies on arguably the best offensive playcaller in the league which is Payton. |

| Quote: | In his latest segment of an interview with NFL Network's Deion Sanders, Favre revealed his true motivation for playing his last NFL season in 2010. Favre returned because of the money.
"First of all, the money was too good," Favre said.
Sanders responded by thanking Favre for "being honest" in his response.
"I hate to say it's about money," Favre continued. "But I felt the money was a lot -- great." |
I hope the money was worth it, loser. |

So let me get this straight. He rejected the efforts of the guy who rescued him from the Atlanta bench to come to an evening honoring the coach who helped him to the pinnacle because he has hard feelings about Green Bay.
And now, it's "no big deal" and he really doesn't care if the organization wants to give him the highest honor they can. You know, more deserving guys, like Willie Davis and Forrest Gregg, would rank it as one of the highest honors of their life if we retired their number. But Favre doesn't care.
And this is the guy we're supposed to be trying to reconcile with? Why?
He said what he left behind speaks for itself. Yeah, a highly polarized fan base, one title, and a list of playoff chokes nearly as long as my arm, and lots of hard feelings. You treasure that, and you enjoy the money.....but as far as how the organization needs to 'reconcile' and give him this honor.....I don't think so. And don't tell me that time heals all wounds because if you take a dump on something I love I don't forget that. |

And I just knew that it probably was finished, but I did feel like if I didn't try it (I'd regret it)," Favre said. |

I'm sure those guys love to read that |

“Their approach is really tailored to the way they go about their business, starting with their head coach,” McCarthy said. “I don’t know what the problem with skeet shooting is; I thought that was probably one of the best events we’ve ever had here.”
Translation: The Lions are undisciplined, like their coach.

Mike McCarthy was great, but he had a Super Bowl team. He should have gone 16-0. This 15-1 is not as impressive as the Vikings going 15-1 in 98.

| I once posted here the world's shortest book is Sincerity, by Brett Favre. How can you reconcile with that guy even if you wanted to? I don't buy the "must reconcile" conventional wisdom. Let the Vikings retire his $20 million jersey. |

The league frowns on teams retiring numbers so maybe we should follow their lead. When he is inducted into the HOF putting his name up in the Ring Of Honor should be enough. I along with scores of other Packer fans are in no rush to reconcile with this clown so somebody tell Harlan to cool it.
I don't think #4 should come to Holmgren's PHOF induction but not for what you might think. If he shows his face it will turn it into a Favre media circus and it really should be Mike's day in the sun. Have Favre send a video of congratulations and play it at the ceremony. _________________

Personally I think the ring of honor is higher than retiring his number. I don't want to see the name "Brett Favre" looking over the crowd every Packers home game/ _________________
