Seriously. Against a good player you are basically praying they make a mistake on offense...i really hoped they beefed up defense, heck make it OP if you have too.

This is my biggest complaint. And i didn't even realize it until you just brought it up. The game pace on offense needs to be toned down. It shouldn't that I'm scoring a TD or FG every single possession. It ticks me off that no matter how good your defense is, you can't stop a good madden player on offense.

Basically there are too many ways to counter someone's stout defense but there are limited ways to counter someone's offense. It shouldn't be like that. In fact like you mentioned, defense should be over powered.

With all the epic games we've played this should always be on your mind. Laughing

But yeah against good players how often do you punt? And yeah make it overpowered. Or just make it more real. No reason a line with 70 overalls should be opening up holes against the steelers or ravens. Or guys like Jared Allen having barely any effect on the game at all unless you control them.

Chris Long has not been a difference maker on defense.......Chris Long is an above average starter and nothing more.

Defense was already somewhat overpowered in terms of fumbles. I fumble atleast twice a game even when i protect the ball all the time (which is really dumb). I don't really see much wrong with defense right now, all they need to do is fix the cheap glitch plays on offense that always work and the game would be fine on both sides of the ball.

The fact is that since the next generation systems came out the developers have concentrated more on presentation that actual gameplay and appeal. The last solid madden game was for PS2 with Tony Bruno on the radio. I dont understand how you can claim if its in the game its in the game and then completely ignore restricted free agency or letting us work out rookies like in previous games.

I always buy Madden and I always get bored with Madden in September when the actual games start. It's a vicious cycle.

I was the same way this year. Usually I'm obsessed with franchise mode but this years Madden just wasn't fun. They improved it with the FA bidding but I'm not a fan of the scouting. Also think they need to add some kind of presentation like they used to have in past Maddens.

Agreed 100%.

The only reason I bought Madden 2012 was because they improved the franchise mode, but it was still lacking enough that it got boring easily.

And its hard to believe how long it takes EA to get certain things. The NFL draft is a huge deal to people. To alot of people that play Madden, the offseason and draft is probably more fun than the game itself, yet the dont give it the attention it deserves, especially from a presentation standpoint.

Im not even looking for anything too extravagant. At the very least, Id like to see the first overall pick come out on stage with Goodell and hold up a jersey. And then after that, have something that show's Mel's Kiper grade for the pick.

And I honestly couldnt stand the cheering and clapping during the draft on the older Maddens....mainly because it was so random and it was the same thing over and over again. I really dont wanna hear that.

Anyway, I dont think the draft or franchise mode was touched much this year, and thus, I will not be buying Madden 13. The presentation looks better, but overall, it still looks like the same Madden that gets old after a few weeks.
