Is it just my computer or are the ads getting out of control? Every time I log on I'm hit with at least 2 pop-ups and an annoying ad that takes over the whole page with a video. I think it's from GMC or ESPN or something. I understand it pays for the site and all but goodness! Ha!
Is there anyway that members can lose the ads if they:
1) Certain amount of posts
2) Longevity of a member (5 years?)
3) Paid member
I don't know. Just something to think about.

Paying for the site would be the only way to prevent this.

I'm sorry you are having problems with the ads. We don't charge anything for a membership and rely on the sponsorships to pay all our bills. Without that revenue we would have to shut down.
We try to keep the ads non-intrusive. If there is a specific ad causing you problems, please let me know and I can try and get it removed. Also, you should only see one pop-up ad per visit. If you get more than that, it might be a problem with your computer.
Please send me a PM if you have more comments or concerns. |
