WELCOME TO THE METALHEAD THREAD
The thread for all things metal. Music, TV and movies, magazines, comics, etc... you name it. Share experiences with us on some of your wild stories that we've all had from a metal show. Maybe some of you, like myself, play metal or are in a band.
I live and breathe metal and will try and keep up with posting when I hear about new albums dropping, tours kicking off, etc...Also let us know if you're goin to see any shows or are excited for a particular album's release.
---Favorite metal band of all-time is Trivium. Favorite album of all-time is Into Eternity's The Incurable Tragedy. Favorite metal song ever is In Flames' "The Quiet Place".
---Lamb of God's new album Resolution comes out January 24th and I can't wait. Even though I think Wrath was their weakest work yet all of their album's have never dissapointed me going clear back to Burn The Priest's albums too. They're the premier death metal band in the states IMO and I compare their influence on American metal today to that of Pantera. I'm a drummer in a melodic death metal band and Chris Adler is without a doubt my biggest modern day inspiration as a drummer. Absolutely love them...
---Thinking about getting tickets to Gigantour just to see Megadeth but am very unimpressed with Mustaine's choice of openers . But I do have tickets for In Flames, Trivium, and Veil of Maya and am getting tix for Lamb of God with The Acacia Strain. Extremely excited for both shows!!!
So where are the rest of the metalheads in our FF community??? _________________

Phenomenal Albums.
I thoroughly enjoy 80's thrash and early 90's death metal. Death, Obituary, Atheist, Immolation, Exodus, Possessed, Destruction, Kreator, Sodom, Megadeth, Infernal Majesty (Can) are some of my all-time favorites. |

2. Trivium - Ember To Inferno
3. Into Eternity - The Incurable Tragedy
4. Suicidal Tendencies - Prime Cuts
5. Light This City - Facing The Thousand
6. Lamb of God - Sacrament
7. The Acacia Strain - Wormwood

First 3 Trivium albums were great but then I just lost interest.
Protest the Hero are probs my favorite band since 2007 before they got somewhat big in Canada (hipster mode). |

It's metal in the same sense O'Douls is beer. _________________

Hardly. I'll give you that about In Waves(which was awful) and Shogun(which had one good song IMO) but there original stuff is awesome, especially Ember To Inferno and Ascendancy, I didn't like The Crusade a ton but love the riffwork on the album... _________________

pop-metal. All of it.
But let's not dwell on the negative.
I'm listening to the new Vengeful [CAN] now and it's kicking me where I most like being kicked. _________________

I think he's talking about The Acacia Strain's new album(which is totally BA). I haven't heard Wormwood from Marduk. Only album of theirs I've heard is Rom 5:12. Love the song "Cold Mouth Prayer". _________________
