Way too keyboardy for my tastes. I normally despise anything that hints of gothica. But I like that song. Wont ever listen to another thing they play. But yeah, there it is. _________________

How exactly did you come across it?
There's a ton of really good Italian metal lurking under the surface, but the bands that gain any sort of international notoriety from that country are just the worst of the worst. _________________

Yeah I know, it's pretty awesome
Death SS and Paul Chain are also strongly worth checking out if you're a fan of heavy/doom metal, especially the latter of the two. Detaching From Satan is awesome. Unfortunately his Violet Theatre-era material is hard to come by. I'd love it if they reissued In the Darkness especialy |

NOLA sludge is something I don't listen to that often, but Sonic Excess is a pretty solid album from what i've listened to it.
Basically my go-tos when i'm in the mood for it is Eyehategod and Burning Witch (who aren't NOLA per se but are somewhat related sonically) |

| I don't expect that many here to like them, but i'm a pretty huge fan of Reverend Bizarre. They were kind of an inconsistent band when they were going, but their first is up there as one of my favourite metal records ever, and a pretty substantial grower of a record. |
