Can someone tell me what happened, somewhere in the second quarter - Vernon Davis recovers a fumble, but he gets the ball? It's hard for me to see on my phone. |
Q2, 10:01, 4 & 12 on the HAR 45: Philip Rivers sacked by D.J. Williams for a loss of 5 yards. Fumble on the play, forced by D.J. Williams, recovered by Vernon Davis.
Your team was being very aggressive apparently... _________________ With much cheese,

No.
The simulator decides to take chances on 4th down based on an equation from field position, yards to go, score, and offensive aggression.
From what I just looked up in the code, the chance of going for it in that situation was 1 / 587 (roughly 0.002%). _________________ With much cheese,

Oh wow - no big deal, was just wondering. All I could see is that Vernon recovered it but I had no idea how he got the ball. _________________

Nacho I think you need to fix the rate of recovering onside kicks in this league.
During the final minute of the game I've never been able to recover an onside kick for some reason. My opponent recovered almost all but 1 or 2 onside kicks _________________

Hmm... the success of an onside kick in the simulator is roughly 33%, which is modified slightly by Special teams coordinator. There may be some sort of problem in the code but maybe you've just been unlucky ? _________________ With much cheese,

TOs are not a neccesity as I stated earlier.
It IS very difficult to set them up properly in the Sim.
What I continue to suggest is setup the 2 minute warning and simply have teams not utilize kneeldowns except when clock is 40 seconds or under, ergo one last play.
And I know that knee-downs are apart of the game whether I support it or not ( I prefer AFL rules ) but with no TOs I think having 3 consecutive kneeldowns is a cheapened win.
I know I'm sounding like a complete sore loser in this but let's be serious, no 2 minute warning, no TOs, my team had two late TDs and the end was anti-climactic because my defense let a 1st down run happen with about 2 minutes to play. Like I said, one more time stoppage and I may have gotten the ball back.
This is just my beef with clock management in the Sim. We don't need to have TOs, but 3 kneel-downs in Sim games? _________________ Legends Never Die. They Breathe Through The New Generation.

I understand where you're coming from, but at the same time, its kind of ironic that Seahawks22 is complaining about exactly the opposite thing on this same page (saying teams come back from behind TOO OFTEN in the 4th quarter). As I said, I will incorperate the 2 minute warning and/or Timeouts perhaps next season, as it would be inappropriate to do so midseason. _________________ With much cheese,

Can you please move Louis Vasquez to PS and promote Rodney Hudson to Guard. _________________

Hmm, top-10 guard left in FA? Deal.
I sign Uche Nwaneri and cut Louis Vasquez.
Start Uche, PS Rodney Hudson.
Sorry this got confusing. _________________
