We're looking at deeper-lying midfielders here. It's possible that two will make the team depending upon how the vote goes. I'll also leave room for 2 attacking mids/wingers and 2 Strikers. After that we'll iron out the XI and I'll omit a player depending upon how the voting goes.
Team so far:
GK: Michael Vorm, Swansea City AFC
LB: José Enrique, Liverpool FC
CB: Ledley King, Tottenham Hotspur
CB: Vincent Kompay, Manchester City
RB: Micah Richards, Manchester City
DM: Lucas Leiva, Liverpool FC
MF:
MF:
- This is based on THIS SEASON ONLY August through December English Premier League matches. Not Champions, Europa League, Carling Cup etc. So use your head.. don't just vote for the names you recognize (if that's the case just don't vote)
- Must have played in a minimum of 10 EPL games (That will be apparent in the selections) However, OTHER will be an option, so write the name in if you chose other.
-Current injured players are eligible as long as they've played in 10 games regardless of how long they're ruled out.
Nominees:
Mikel Arteta, Arsenal FC
Yohan Cabaye, Newcastle United
Alejandro Faurlin, Queens Park Rangers
Luka Modric, Tottenham Hostpur
Scott Parker, Tottenham Hotspur
Ramires, Chelsea FC
Alex Song, Arsenal FC
Cheick Tioté, Newcastle United
Yaya Toure, Manchester City

I've go to take Yohan Cabaye, he is possibly the best passer in the PL (With Modric before Kempus slaughters me.
He also makes the 3rd most tackles in the premier league, more than Cheick Tiote. Great Free-Kick taker and has a great shot on him.......splendid. _________________

I highly doubt it.
I'm sure we all know, as I did when I created the list with some help from Kempus that it will come down to 3 players most likely.
He'll probably get Dr. Philly's vote though. _________________

Cabaye and Modric for me. Seriously though some of these (Tiote stands out to me) as not deserving to be on the list. Living off last seasons hype and Newcastle's success. _________________

True he's one that I just kind of threw on there for filler. There are some outside the box ones in the next few polls but example being Faurlin for QPR. He's been by far their best player this season and a good reason for their success, whereas guys like Adel Taraabt have not lived up to their billing.
Seems as though this will go down to the wire which is why I'm thinking I'll create a follow up for the 3 second best vote-getters. _________________

Ramires, most underrated player in the world. Fantastic defensively and has been one of the best attacking players for Chelsea as well this year. I'd give him MVP of the team over Mata and Sturridge... _________________

If Ramires looks like he is going to win I want to swap my vote to whoever is in closest to 1st, other than Ramires. No Chelsea player deserves to be in the XI. _________________

Mata doesn't? Sturridge? Come on, they've been fantastic. You're all selling Ramires short. He has such a high workrate and is the only midfielder we have who can make things happen for our forwards (with his driving runs). Too bad he's a terrible finisher. That said I'm going with Cabaye. _________________

I voted Parker. Cabaye deserves it too, I just can't see Parker not deserving to be in here over the others. _________________
