He shouldn't. Lucas effectively played as 2 CM's with how invisible Charlie Adam is when it comes to anything 4-4-2 and how technically embarassing Jay Spearing is at anything other than rash tackles. Lucas has been brilliant, it's just people think he's the same laughable player he once was.
That said I do actually agree with kempus when it comes to Bale, it would be a travesty if Bale doesn't make it. |
I totally agree on Lucas. Parker is the better player but the first half of this season before his injury, no one was playing the position as well as Lucas.

No way Parker is the better player. He might be having a better year (although I don't agree), but Leiva is a better player.
