Lol, I'm neutral about this descision. Let's see how his first two drafts work for us before we can really grade him.

Source? I'd love for this to happen, but I find it a bit hard to believe that a former director of college scouting left that much of an impression on him so that he'd go wherever Emery goes. Probably give us a leg up in the negotiations, but I doubt it will give them that much sway.

I didn’t realise he was only the 5th GM in franchise history…that’s amazing considering the franchise is 93 years old…

As for Emery it was getting more and more obvious that he was the likely guy as the process went on…he’s a safe choice who isn’t going to rock the boat but will hopefully be better at taking opinions and making the final choice on draft picks and free agents than Jerry was…I would have preferred a guy who would have implemented more change but I’m going to give the guy time to prove himself & who knows maybe just a few tweaks will be enough to get us on the road to being a playoff calibre team year in and year out…going to be a very interesting few months in terms of his decision with Forte and the draft.
