I won't argue that he doesn't have the upside of Thomas, but he's currently the most consistently great QB in the country. The best decision maker, good feel for the pocket, and nice touch.

His hype reminds me of the same hype that Leinart and Quinn received. And when I've watched him, he reminds me physically of Jimmy Clausen although I think he has a stronger arm. I'm just not blown away by him. Not seeing it.

Meh, I think he has far better pocket presence than all 3 guys you mentioned. He's not an elite athlete which is why I agree that he doesn't hold a ton of upside, but he's just a really polished prospect.

He does. Although an issue I've noticed with him is that he often tends to lean away from his targets and throw off is back foot which causes his passes to float and sail.

A few things:

Why'd you rank Geathers over Jenkins, when Jenkins starts over Geathers?

I think you're a tad high on Chris Faulk, while not high enough on Aboushi

Would you really have Dyer rated so highly? He probably won't be in the draft this year, especially since his immediate play waiver was denied.

I'd personally take Gerald Hodges, Margus Hunt, and Taylor Lewan over some of the players listed at their respective positions.

All the other stuff I agreed with, sans a few nit-picky stuff. Nothing huge.

Geather is more versatile and was better than Jenkins last year. Geathers can play 3-4 DE or 3-4 NT and actually looked pretty darn good last year. Right now, the Jenkins love is all based on potential.

I think you have it backwards. Geathers is pretty much all potential at this point whereas Jenkins has shown several flashes of being a Jay Ratliff like NT.

Dyer will be removed from my lists until the end of the year. The news came out today, not yesterday when I made said list.

I already covered Geathers v Jenkins earlier in the thread.

Not to me. Geathers looked like the better player to me last year.

I'm not too big on looking at secondary, but opinions on Shawn Williams of Georgia? Seems underrated to me

Ugghh...just looking at the front page of this thread reminds me that I need to start a thread if I want to do one this year.

Logan Thomas, QB Virginia Tech
Pre-Season Strengths/Weaknesses

Strengths:
* Elite body makeup [ 6'6 270 pounds]
* Near flawless mechanics.
* Short, high velocity throwing motion.
* Solid short range accuracy.
* Good in short area runs.
* Shows ability to move around in pocket to avoid defenders [above average pocket awareness].

Weaknesses:
* Holds on to the ball too long.
* On the drop back and "wind up" he will drop the ball down a little low.
* Needs to work on intermediate and deep ball accuracy.
* Needs to show he can step up in big games.
* Needs to show he can lead the team in a more offensive way...less reliance on the spread option.

William Gholston, DE/OLB Michigan State
Pre-Season Strengths/Weaknesses:

Strengths:
* Elite Athleticism.
* Speed/Strength ratio is boarderline Elite.
* Uses height to advantage.
* Plays and has shown ability to play sideline to sideline.
* Good handplacement and can move off of blocks (disengage) better than his peers.
* Quick twitch and can keep himself in plays.
* Doesn't get moved out of run plays, has good anchorage and can take of the Tackle + Carrier.

Weaknesses:
* He is no a "no mans land" in terms of his weight...he is too big for the traditional 43 Defensive End/Rush Linebackers...but too light for the traditional 34 End.
* Needs to show better initial burst to capitalize on his speed.
* Character/Maturity issues, see punch against Michigan last year.
* Over runs most plays, taking himself out of the play.
* Shows he plays stiff at times and doesn't have the natural bend off the edge.

I see Calais Campbell.

Maybe Quinton Coples if he doesnt get more consistent, especially with the pad level.
