Yahoo doesn't have that option. Sorry.
As we enter the live draft Yahoo assigns the 4 keepers by auto drafting the first 4 rounds. It wouldn't allow us to start drafting until every team had keepers locked in. |
So is their a date we have to announce our Keepers? Or are we going into the draft blind not knowing until it starts who kept who? Obviously it's beneficial for all to wait as long as possible on Keepers to make sure no one is injured in spring training but a deadline should be set a couple days in advance of the Draft date, no?
Also if there ends up being 2-3 spots available for new members are you going to pick a name out of a hat and give that person first dibs of his choice? First come first serve? What? _________________

The keeper deadline will be 1 week prior to the draft, so you'll have time to check out the draft pool.
I'll be replacing teams once I know how many teams will change managers. First replacement gets to choose which team he wants. _________________

Well are there pre-draft trades? Nabbs can send me the pitcher he doesn't keep? |
As long as you trade him somebody he's willing to keep then sure. But he can't give away his non-keepers.
These trades would also need to be done a week before the draft. (Before the keeper deadline) |
What? But nabbs loves me and wants me to do better. _________________

He'll have to wait until after the draft to help you out. _________________

You're underrating your team.
Greinke is a top 10 pitcher, while ranking in Yahoo's top 40. You also have
Shin-Soo Choo who's rated higher than Buster Posey.
Plus you are 1 of only 2 teams with 2 top 10 players. [Gonzalez @ 7 and Cano @ 8] _________________

I'm good with that. However can you have a clause that if a keeper player is injured within that week leading up to the draft he can be swapped out for another from the original roster as a keeper? _________________

To an extent.
If there is an injury I can make a swap. But if it happens the day before the draft it's not possible to change without moving the draft date.
The draft won't be any further than 2 weeks prior to the season, so it shouldn't be too big a deal. _________________

Eh I would rather take the risk on buster than waste a keeper spot on shin-soo. _________________

I still have no clue who I am keeping out of about 7 players. SO what is the Draft order again? Overall finish from the playoffs last season? _________________

I really don't want Greinke again, he has failed me for 2 years running. _________________

We all know how serpentine drafts work, picking 2nd is more of a burden to a bad team then a good thing. _________________

#7 Fabulous!!! Stuck between You and Hockey. Can it get any worse from a strategic standpoint? _________________
