| Quote: | Redskins released FS O.J. Atogwe.
It's the first step in the Redskins regaining salary cap space after Monday's staggering blow from the league office. Atogwe was a prime candidate for release because there were no guarantees left in his $3.4 million salary for 2012. The move will count as $0 in dead money against the cap. Benched late in another injury-plagued season, Atogwe's league-wide stock has dropped precipitously over the past two years. He won't get a major contract at age 31. |

I would be delighted if Miami took a look at him. _________________ With much cheese,

| Tennessee is going to snatch him up. After we get Manning, Wayne, Freeney, and Saturday... he could fill another empty spot |

Probably happened because of the NFL docking part of their salary cap. Hope the Packers sign his as depth....Burnett back to SS where I think he is a better fit.........Can play FS if Collins doesn't come back 100% and will allow the Packers to spend their high picks elsewhere in a weak safety class. _________________ @PJHotel_

Wasn't he considered a top 5 safety when he was with the Rams? Wow, how the mighty have fallen. _________________

yup, and that was a massive reach. never been that solid, looked good on a terrible Rams secondary. _________________

Was injured throughout the season and the team chose to give more reps to rookie 5th rounder DeJon Gomes. Not exactly surprising to see him released, obvious now that the penalty has been announced.
I've been wanting Mike Sellers off the Redskins for a good 2-3 years, honestly it's done a fair job at reducing my displeasure with the news of the $36M hit. _________________

Looks like Seller is released too -
Big blocking TE/FB who was a long-time redskin but it looks like he no longer had a place on the team. |

Dude has been horribly overrated for years.
Had one good year in his entire career. Every other year has been average or below that. _________________

I wouldn't say 1 good year. His 11 FF and 16 INTs from 2006 though 2008 weren't complete flukes. _________________
