The Washington Post reports the Redskins are willing to pay a "handsome price," including first-round picks this year and next year, to land Baylor's Robert Griffin III.
In addition to the pair of first-rounders, the Redskins are also willing to part with multiple picks in the "upper to mid-round range," matching the compensation the Chargers received for Eli Manning back in 2004. Should the Skins get outbid by the Browns, they will reportedly target Texas A&M's Ryan Tannehill as a fallback option at No. 6 overall. The team is expected to pursue a veteran QB, such as Kyle Orton, to pair with RGIII or Tannehill.

Paying a king's ransom for RG3.

Better than taking Tannehill at 6 Laughing

True. I just hate seeing STL load up on draft picks Sad

And I think RG3 is sooooooo much better than Cam Newton. Griffin actually has it upstairs (intelligence, maturity) as well as downstairs (athletic ability). He may not start immediately or he might...I don't know. Whichever, I think he will be VERY good.

My midround crush at CB Josh Robinson just scared me with his hands in this last drill

The Sideline View's Adam Caplan suggests Baylor WR Kendall Wright's slow "official" (4.61) forty time at the Combine was due in large part to an inability to get cleanly out of his stance.

"Keep in mind he won't be playing out of a track stance at the next level," wrote Caplan. Wright was hand-timed as fast as 4.45, and he plays in the 4.3-4.4 range in games. "He’s the most explosive wide receiver in this draft and it’s not even close," Caplan adds. "...Any scouting staff that drops his draft grade significantly after one subpar workout should not keep their jobs."

UCF CB Josh Robinson led all cornerbacks at the Combine in the forty-yard dash with unofficial times of 4.29 and 4.31.

The three-year junior Robinson is one of the rawest cornerbacks in the draft, but he's going to leap up draft boards after overtaking LSU's Ron Brooks for the fastest times at his position. Robinson weighed in earlier in the week at 5-foot-10 1/8 and 199 pounds, a rock solid stature. He has ball skills after collecting 10 interceptions at UCF, and may now be a second-round pick.

Bequette had the 2nd best short shuttle of the DL @ 4.07! For a guy over 265, that's quick! Could he be a good rookie replacement for Parys if our FO deems Parys too expensive? Parys is making about $2.45 mil this coming season...

Yep. If our coaches are comfy with having a rookie as the primary rush LB backup. McClellin or Bequette in rd 3 is appealing to me.

I was sorry to see him look so good at the combine, and still hoping he has a really bad throwing day at his pro day. Last thing I want is St. Louis getting a boatload of picks for that pick.

I thought that about Wright. Maybe this will help him fall to us at 30.

I think Janoris Jenkins will make a comeback and end up going high.

I'm pretty sure Jenkins goes high every day Wink

Wasn't sure where to post this, so I'll put it in here. Looks like the 49ers have been represented at all 3 pro days the last few days (Mizzou, Miami Ohio, and Cinci).

Hopefully we are looking at Egnew from Mizzou, Wolfe and Pead from Cinci and Brandon Brooks from Miami Ohio

Ew, I hope we aren't looking at Egnew...guy is talented but the epitome of inconsistent. Confused

You have to expect a TE in a spread offense to be inconsistent. And he had a new QB this year too. His draft status will depend on his interviews, in my opinion, and not on the consistency of his game tape. He does have size, athleticism and abilities. If he shows to have the attitude and work ethic, he'd make a very good third round pick.
