Hard to pin that one is going to be there in the 3rd.
I can see 10 going in the first 2 rounds easy, that would leave us grasping at straws or reaching for inferior talent.
If Martin is there and say all our other options are gone, have to take him. |
Well, Martin's an inferior talent for where he's going so reaching in round 3 shouldn't be an issue.
Luckily for us, all of our options won't be gone. It's a lock. Luck, Griffin, Kalil, Claiborne, Blackmon, Coples/Perry are all guaranteed to go before 13(Probably Richardson as well). That means one of the lineman, wide receivers or outside linebackers is guaranteed to be available and Martin won't be needed as a last resort. _________________

Here is hoping that plays out
I can also see Brockers and Poe going top 12 too.
Bodes well for us. |

Brockers and Poe going would be a godsend. Perry AND Coples going would be a big help as well. The others are mortal locks though. Those aforementioned players will go before 13. _________________

i thought he was 238.. honestly if we go OL in the first and pass on luke i think if he is there in the fourth well take him.. |
Why? Because he's Sam's brother? It's certainly not because he's a fit. |
i dont understand how you dont think hes a fit.. why couldnt he play next to dwash.. i hate all this talk about a thumper run stopper.. if you just have a player who is good at one thing (ie the run) you run away from him and run crosses behind him.. in this scheme its more important to be well rounded and be able to cover to make these exotic blitzes.. and yes it certainly does help that hes sams brother.. size and measureable wise he fits, value he fits, the type of person/worker he will be fits.. i like him and if he is there in the 4th I'd take him and put him behind lennon.. |

I feel bad for players who are benching with John Lott screaming in their face. _________________

Tests how you do under pressure, see if you can focus on the task at hand.
There is a reality show in OZ atm, Cricket Superstar or something like that, they get sledged by the crowd to see how they react, all the kids freak out, as they dont have the mental side of the game sorted.
Funny stuff. |

Whether you hate it or not is irrelevant, that's the way the system works. All the way back to the first day LeBeau took the reins as a coordinator, that SILB spot has been designated a certain way. It's a flow to the strongside position and Emmanuel Acho doesn't do that.
Being Sam's brother means nothing. We didn't sign Larry's brother, he's our best player. _________________

Once again, this has nothing to do with weight. Watch Acho play, watch Farrior play. Aplles and oranges. _________________

Melvin Ingram said he had a formal interview with Arizona.
Seems to be conflicting reports on his 10 yard split. Couple sites say 1.72, few others say 1.65. He had a great vertical and broad jump and a great 3 cone too, so who knows on him. That slow 10 yard is really weird. _________________

Not exactly sure how they time the 40's but a slow split can be symptomatic of a poor start.
I have never been an Ingram fan, reminds me of all the negatives I saw in Eric Norwood (Though I loved Eric as a 3rd/4th round pick). I want to stay away from pass rushers in this draft, at least early. I don't see any of them really hitting the top level in the NFL and many of the top guys seem like complimentry guys. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

scott has guaranteed cash
conditional 6th round in 2013, in best case, or wait for him to be cut.

| One thing I noticed when watching Ingram was he was really slow off the snap but once he got going he was really quick. I don't know how that drill works but if the timer starts on a whistle I could see Ingram having a slow time. I was really high on Ingram but I thought the slowness off the snap was due to him reading the defense but now I don't know. |
