Exactly. Spikes had TREMENDOUS production too and I've never read that he was out of shape.

Now he's not doing any drills. Here's a summary of his combine experience:

-Stood in front of the media and blamed everybody but himself for his problems
-Admitted openly to playing this season at 260 pounds
-Showed up to the combine at 248 pounds and ran 4.93 and 5.10
-Did not bench press
-Did not participate in on-field drills


Add this to the atrocity that was his 2011/2012 season and he could go undrafted. Seriously.

Even if we don't actually take creedence in the time being what it is, it is clear that he did not prepare at all for the biggest job interview of his life.

Burfict's vertical was 30", his broad jump was 8-8. Our of 30 participating linebackers, his vertical tied for 28/29, his broad jump ranked 30th. Dead last.
