According to a source close to the Colts they are going to re-sign DE Robert Mathis and WR Pierre Garcon. Good, they're both very good players.

If the Colts are really trying to head in the youth movement direction, I don't see why they would re-sign Mathis, who is a 30 year old DE that relies a lot on his speed.
I personally have always been a big fan of Mathis and his game, and if the Colts don't bring him back for whatever reason, would love for my Falcons to go after him. It would be great to bring Mathis back to his hometown, especially now after the reports are coming out that we are going to let Abe walk which really came at no surprise to Falcons fans. |

Makes me think they still might keep Peyton actually. Why else would they do that? But losing Wayne would make me very happy _________________

while the team may need to undergo a youth movement, you need to keep some vets around. With Pagano being a defensive guy, im sure he prefers to keep all the pass rushers he can get at this point. |

I do usually tend to agree with you. I was thinking that since they still have Freeney and he is under contract that they wouldn't want to lock up tons of money on just their edge rushers with so many other holes to fill. |

The guy is undersized, old, and a pass rusher based on speed. They need to get a bigger LDE to be able to hold up against the run better. _________________

If they dump Manning, wont they have like 30+ Million or so in cap room. I know they had a lot to begin with, im sure they will get incredible cap releif without manning.
i see Mathis and Wayne as two priorities to bring back, and they probably should let Saturday walk. They need Wayne as Luck has to have someone decent to throw too. |

He's really the only bright spot on the Colts offensive line as of right now. The last thing the Colts want to do is throw their quarterback of the future to the dogs with no one to protect him. _________________

Saturday is gonna retire. They need to sign someone in FA to beef up that OL to protect their new franchise QB. I think getting either Nicks or Grubbs is a good start. _________________ Goodbye, footballsfuture.com. I am moving on to something that deserves my full attention. |

Isn't he going to move to 3-4 OLB, I mean he is the ideal size. |
