Pierre garcon just turned down a contract deal with the colts looks like he is testing the free agency market do we have a shot at him? And is he worth a big contract?

Not interested. He's going to want much more than he's worth.

How big is big? I dont think he is nearly as good as some say. He drops way too many balls. I wouldnt give him more than 4 million if that.

I think he's very similar to Manningham in that he wants $5-$7 million per. Indy will let him walk for a reason and it won't be because they don't want him or can't afford him. They'll get plenty of cap relief when they let Peyton go. Hopefully another receiver-needy team will overpay for him so we don't have to worry about it.

I like Manningham better than Garcon

I'd give him 6 years 37 million. I don't get why so many people dislike him. With all his drops he Still had 70 catches for almost a 1000 yards with awful qbs.

Here are his 2011 numbers.

The three big games, two against garbage secondaries in Tampa Bay and New England, and the one 82 yard effort accounted for about 500 yards - the rest of the season he was below average in games where Indy was falling behind early more often than not (we all know what prevent defenses look like and so does Pierre).

So, for 12 of 16 games (three-quarters of the season), he just wasn't any good. All he's proven in his career is that Manning could find him and that he could exploit prevent defenses - a quarter of the time.

He's a quality third option and a guy who can take advantage of soft coverage, not a guy who deserves high end number 2-type of money.

If Gene signs him and I'm wrong, I'm fine with that. But I'm not too concerned.

6+ million? Really? He is a number 2 WR, thats it. Of course he had that many passes, the Colts were behind the whole game, plus Wayne was clearly the focus of defenses

I think he is worth $5-6M a year. He is a solid number two. I would like to see him and Steve Johnson on the Jags next year.

I think Stevie is my favorite FA receiver this season when money is factored in. He has great value in age, price and potential to improve. Unfortunately, I don't think the Bills front office is going to let their best player go two years in a row.

There are a couple. Jordy Nelson, Julio Jones, Dez Bryant and I think Titus Young up in Detroit will be worth that price in a year or two. I'm sure there are a couple more but I can't think of them off the top of my head Garcon definitely isn't in that group.

I would personally like to see Garcon come here pending on the price tag like you guys have talked about. I'm hoping we get Stevie, but it sounds like they have came a bit closer on a contract I think.
