Its clear that the 49ers want to add another vet WR. But of the choices left which would you chose? Keep in mind that Manningham or Lloyd would likely cost more than Schilens or Plax.

Went with Royal myself. Makes too much sense with Ginn presumably walking. I'd prefer to get someone that would allow us to get Crabs in the slot instead but gotta be efficient in our needs in FA. I could find desirable traits with all on the list but this one just makes too much sense now IMO.

I wanted Ginn to be an option as well. I thought I did add him, is there a limit to how many options it gives you?

Out of the guys you have listed I voted for Mario Manningham.

Mario Manningham, I think he can bring his explosiveness to our team with great experience. I hope we sign him instead of LLoyd!

Mike Wallace... then draft Marvin Jones or Brian Quick in rd 3.

... but since Wallace was not an option here, I'd favor Eddie Royal as well. Sure seems Ginn is gone... and so we can then draft a big WR in the draft.

1. Randy Moss
2. Mike Crabtree
3. Eddie Royal
4. Kyle Williams
5. Marvin Jones

1. Vernon Davis
2. Coby Fleener

Very Happy

Put of the choices, I'd like to have Royal. Could replace Ginn at a cheaper price, while also having the ability to catch a football.

Went Royal as well because of his return ability. He's been a want of mine recently once it looked like Ginn wouldn't be back.

I voted Royal as well, but my next choice would be Mario.

Love that lineup you've got there for the playmakers of our Offense! Cool

Hypothetically, couldn't we sign both Manningham and Royal? Neither will command a giant contract(probably), so I'm fairly certain Paraag could make it work from a salary cap standpoint.

We could still draft a WR in the mid rounds to compete with Williams for the 5th spot and go with a core of Crabtree, Moss, Manningham, Royal, and Williams/rookie or just keep Williams and the rookie and go with 6 WR's.

I see Moss as more of a situational/package player rather than a every snap type player so Manningham and Royal would still get plenty of opportunities for playing time. Also, I'm sure Harbaugh/Roman could adapt the offense to use more 3/4 WR sets.

Well, just a hypothetical scenario I was thinking about. Thoughts?

Look at what Robinson got in jacksonville, and I'm not confident Manningham will be that cheap. There's major overpayment going on right now. He will probably get 5 to 6 millions per year. So, that and Royal, who has added value as a WR and returner, I don't see going for much lower than 3 millions a year... it might just be too much. Sure, Paraag could do miracles, but the problem with fitting in so many free agents this year is that it's going to cost us in the future.

Agreed. Just one more FA wideout should suffice. If we went your direction (NinerFan4289), I wouldn't have a problem with it, but i do think the cost for both Manningham and Royal would be a bit much. Add to that, I think they would both be quickly unhappy with the amount of attention they would get on the field. I don't see Harbaugh suddenly going with lots of 3/4 WR sets.
