I came in here to post that Dwight was cleared for 5-on-5 and then saw the suggestion that 7 rings makes Kobe Bryant a better/greater basketball player than MJ... 
So that 1 ring is going to make up for his inferiority in almost countless other achievements outside of volume numbers?

I'm not even going to get into this again. We had an entire thread about it two months or so ago. It seemed like it was me against the world. But hey, at least I didn't mention the most outrageous thing in the thread; some poster said they thought Iverson had/has a better career than Kobe does.

Yep, that's the thing rings do not make him the better player. I believe the fact he is playing at this level in his 17th season is superior to him winning another ring or two.

Something needs to get done soon for non Time Warner customers. It'll be pretty ridiculous if something doesn't get done before the season starts.

I had 3 co-workers say the same exact thing to me in the last 48 hours. I remember being bummed that I couldn't get DirecTv at my new apartment, so I had to settle for TW Cable. Now they got NFL Network and the Laker channel. Go figure.

I also made two very basic sigs for the upcoming season:

Was planning to use one or the other as the regular season draws closer, but I have no issue with anyone else rocking one as well. I know we briefly discussed a Laker inspired avatar for us all, but we could do one of these sigs instead. Just a thought, no biggie either way.
