Lakers: Steve Nash for draft picks. Dwight Howard for Andrew Bynum. Phil Jackson for Mike Brown. #winning

Phil made Sasha Vujacic, Vlad Rad, Luke Walton and Ronie look like a legit bench at one point. I'll just be relieved when the Zen Master is back with actual rotations and utilization of THE POST. Why in the blue hell did Mike Clown not do that?
Gotta keep our eyes peeled

Really like how Darius Morris has been playing, of course there's been more mistakes but he seems more confident. Jamison has been a disappointment. I like that we're getting Meeks some more minutes.

Thor next game is SA?

That should be a good test for LA.

We've looked much better post Mike Brown. Hope Phil is here soon and we carry on the good play.

I'll have the next Laker thread up tomorrow.

Source: Mike D'Antoni will be the next coach of the Lakers. Not Phil Jackson.

Kobe made it clear he wanted Phil, but said after game tonight that he let Lakers know he was fine with D'Antoni.

Shouldn't have done that Kobe.

Mike D'Antoni signed a four-year deal with the Lakers. Phil Jackson was "asking for the moon," accoring to source familiar w/ the situation.

He probably won't make it through all 4 years. Screw you, Jim Buss.

Well now. Nash will be unleashed at least, and the defense has been solid the last 2 games. Other than Marion, who has D'antoni had to anchor his D? He now has D12(who won't be superman till January'ish) and Kobe getting in the passing lanes. Metta has been streaky....
Nash must be excited. I'm hopeful.

I hope I wake up in the morning and see the Lakers have actually reached an agreement with Jackson, just because I'm a Laker/PJ homer. But I'll give Mike a chance, Kobe likes him and Nash knows how to run his system to perfection.

I do like that about the hire, but we don't have the youth, speed, or shooting to really pull off his system.

PnR will be insane, though. I like the hire for you guys. Never got a fair shake in New York. Hope he does well, hasn't had a team this talented since the Amare/Nash/Johnson/Marion days.

agreed. We don't have Barbosa or Marion that's for sure Laughing
PJ was the man for the job. He could figure it all out to perfection. D'antoni has a tough task to handle, you don't want to make Kobe mad.....the last guy named Mike knows that....

Amare and Melo dominated the ball, now Nash and Kobe will. idk how to feel. I'm hoping for the best at this point. PJ was asking for a ransom I assume....
