If I'm D'Antoni, I basically just keep myself out of the way. Teach the guys the fundamentals of my system, but allow them the free reign if you will to run their necessary components of the offensive game. In other words, fit what you know and what you're good at teaching to what these guys are already good at. Keep teaching, and drawing up plays and doing the coaching thing, but fit yourself to them not vice versa. Don't pull a Mike Brown and try to get these guys to run your offense. Let them play their offensive game, just be there to add some new wrinkles to it and to make their games mesh together.
