Whats the scouting report on him?? |
Big, strong, bouncy athlete. Good rebounder and defender but he's pretty raw offensively like BBando said. He'll be a four year guy at Pitt and should develop into a solid starting face-up 4 man for you guys. _________________

I really like Florida's potential recruiting class with two elite 5* guys already on board. I don't think they should've taken Rimmer though, a lot of other 4* and 5* big men still have Florida on their list. | Yeah I know. He is good. He is a four year guy. BD loves four year guys. Look what he did with Noah and Horford. I think we end up getting a good SG-SF. Jefferson or Selden. |
With all due respect to Billy Donavan who is a great head coach, Al Horford and Joakim Noah both came into the program as 4* top 100 recruits. They did develop under Donavan, but it's not like they weren't talented prospects heading into the program.
Schuyler Rimmer is a low three star guy that will probably be a career role player for the Gators.
Wayne Selden is nice, he'd be a great fit in the Florida system. _________________

The four year guys tend to work out better for us at Pitt. _________________

Wayne Selden, Rondae Jefferson or Reggie Cameron might fill that position. Rosario,Boynton and Murphy are all seniors. Also expect Pat Young to declare for the NBA draft this year. |
Gotcha, just weird to see a college basketball team pull in a 10 man class _________________

Andrew Wiggins is a better high school player than Jabari Parker.
Also:
| Quote: | | Recent rumblings around the blogosphere have posited a potential package deal involving Prestonwood star Julius Randle and the Harrison twins, Andrew and Aaron. The triumvirate of top five recruits in the class of 2013, the rumor has it, could all choose Kentucky. |
This is purely speculation and not likely but could lead to the biggest recruiting hall possibly ever. And that doesn't even include the extra commitments like possibly Andrew Wiggins (if he reclassifies), James Young, Jabari Parker (unlikely IMO), Troy Williams, and countless other top 20 prospects. And they have Derek Willis already as well, with players likely to come back like Kyle Wiltjer, and Willie Cauley-Stein. _________________

Jabari Parker will be a better college player than Andrew Wiggins though. His game translate a lot better to the college game than Wiggins does.
Jabari Parker isn't going to Kentucky and neither is Julius Randle. Randle will most likely end up at Duke. _________________

2014 5* PF Trey Lyles (Indianapolis, IN) has officially de committed from Indiana. Expect programs like Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, UCLA, and North Carolina to go after him hard. He looks like a young Tim Duncan and is one of the more fundamentally sound big men prospects to come out since Kevin Love. _________________

N.C. State guard Rodney Purvis might have some eligibility issues. It doesn't look like it will be that big of a deal and he should be ready to go by the time the season starts. But he is missing their trip to Spain this week for a couple exhibition games, which is a bummer. _________________

Matta needs to go after Trey Lyles after his recent decommit from IU. He seems like the perfect 4 man Matta likes. Not the most explosive athlete, but can space the floor with his range. Him and Jahlil Okafor would be the next Sully and Deshaun combo. _________________

Jahlil Okafor could move up to the number one spot in '14 when Wiggins reclassifies. I don't think he ends up at Ohio State though, and it seems like Lyles will most likely end up at Kentucky when it's all said and done. _________________

Some of his decision has to do with his career after college in terms of marketing. From what I've heard his Dad wants him to play at a Nike school so that he could potentially net a nice shoe deal after his college career. _________________
