This is his 2nd ACL tear in 2 years. Not so surprising in that light. I doubt he'll be able to come back to be the player we all hoped for. Sad. _________________ Bah-Weep-Granah-Weep-Nini-Bong

Didn't know he tore it once before too. That's such bad luck. Poor bro. _________________

Yeah I read on rotoworld that hes had like four or six surgeries since entering the league. _________________

I liked Ijalana coming out. Shame to see him go down with these injuries, but also happy we dodged a bullet and got a guy like Wiz instead. _________________

He's not a great practice player and he's on the bubble for the 53-man roster. From the little that I have seen, Dixon, who is reminiscent of former Denver RB/FB Mike Anderson, could capture lighting in a bottle in a ZBS. Imo, being in a north/south one cut offense could return Dixon to the physical runner he was in college. |
I remember seeing him at a 49ers vs Colts preseason game a couple of years ago. He looked really good that day. Watched him quite a bit in college as well (where he really shined). Wouldnt mind bringing him in at all. He could be a good short yardage, goal line guy. |
I would like this, a lot! |

2.7 YPC average, tap dancing in the backfield, limited burst?
I thought he played like a guy who should be cut personally. Nothing even remotely notable about his game last night. _________________

He played well but he will need to play better. I think having him mixed in a rotation with one of the speedsters will help. If he continues to improve and he can pass protect I have no issue with them not getting someone else. Honestly I would rather see them keep a 4th RB like Miller instead of keeping Schmidt as 2nd FB. |

That 2nd full back is the lead blocker that Reece is not, so we need him. I would also venture a guess that Schmidt can be every bit as effective in a short yardage run situation as Miller who doesn't hit the hole with authority. _________________
