This is his 2nd ACL tear in 2 years. Not so surprising in that light. I doubt he'll be able to come back to be the player we all hoped for. Sad.

Didn't know he tore it once before too. That's such bad luck. Poor bro.

Yeah I read on rotoworld that hes had like four or six surgeries since entering the league.

I got his autograph at Super Bowl week this past February. Bring him in! Then cut him when he gets hurt again

I liked Ijalana coming out. Shame to see him go down with these injuries, but also happy we dodged a bullet and got a guy like Wiz instead.

49er RB/FB Anthony Dixon (6'1" 233lbs+) needs a fresh start to spark his career. He's not a great practice player and he's on the bubble for the 53-man roster. From the little that I have seen, Dixon, who is reminiscent of former Denver RB/FB Mike Anderson, could capture lighting in a bottle in a ZBS. Imo, being in a north/south one cut offense could return Dixon to the physical runner he was in college.

I remember seeing him at a 49ers vs Colts preseason game a couple of years ago. He looked really good that day. Watched him quite a bit in college as well (where he really shined). Wouldnt mind bringing him in at all. He could be a good short yardage, goal line guy.

I would like this, a lot!

According to Benson we did try and sign him. Not sure if true. But if it is we will likely add someone else at some point.

2.7 YPC average, tap dancing in the backfield, limited burst?

I thought he played like a guy who should be cut personally. Nothing even remotely notable about his game last night.

He played well but he will need to play better. I think having him mixed in a rotation with one of the speedsters will help. If he continues to improve and he can pass protect I have no issue with them not getting someone else. Honestly I would rather see them keep a 4th RB like Miller instead of keeping Schmidt as 2nd FB.

That 2nd full back is the lead blocker that Reece is not, so we need him. I would also venture a guess that Schmidt can be every bit as effective in a short yardage run situation as Miller who doesn't hit the hole with authority.
