"Baylor WR Josh Gordon will enter the 2012 Supplemental Draft, sources tell The Sideline View's Adam Caplan."
" Caplan believes he could go in the first half of the Supplemental Draft, tentatively scheduled for July 12."
I dont know much about this guy, so my question is:
1. Is anyone interseted?
2. If so, at what cost?

| If there was any MLB depth or DT depth, I would be interested. Otherwise, I think the roster is fairly set. |

Who? I don't know either player at all. And just what I've looked at Gordon, I wouldn't touch him...he was suspended by Baylor, so instead decides to transfer to Utah, sits out a season, and then instead of playing for Utah, decides to enter the supplemental draft...sounds like a head-case to me. _________________

The list of players was posted on Roto
"Per NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal, Baylor WR Josh Gordon, TCU RB Ed Wesley, Boise State CB Quaylon Ewing, Syracuse FB Adam Harris, Alabama A&M LB Larry Lumpkin, Iowa State WR Scott Haughton, Georgia LB Montez Robinson and Stephen F. Austin WR Houston Tuminello are the eligible players. TheSidelineView.com's Adam Caplan believes Gordon could go in the "first half" of the draft. "
Looks like a couple LBs and no DTs _________________

Montez Robinson is more of a DE, but he's already been arrested twice and was kicked off Georga's team.
Lumpkin is apparently a basket case that the head coach didn't even fight for when he decided to transfer.

you usually dont get such a blunt response from a coach when a good depth player asks to transfer.
Lumpkin had a whopping 39 tackles and 4 sacks last year. Not too good for an FCS MLB who thinks they can make it in the pros.
More concerning issues from the LB coach at Alabama A&M.

I want nothing to do with either of these players.
I would rather see Vikadontis Rex lined up at MLB than any of these guys. _________________

I'm a big Utah fan, so I've heard all about Josh Gordon for the past year. Supremely talented kid but a total moron. Got kicked out of Baylor for smoking weed, decided to come to Utah, still smoked weed constantly, bitched about our QB situation and had no interest in becoming part of the TEAM.
Not a guy I would spend anything more than a 7th round pick on. |

21 teams showed up to watch Josh Gordon, including the Vikings. He was expected to run a 4.4, but ended up running a 4.52 at 6'3, 224. Its reported that he scored very well on his Wonderlic and passed a "pop drug test".
I wouldn't mind going after Gordon. Their is strength in numbers and between Harvin/Simpson/Childs/Gordon there should be a true #1 in that group. _________________

Apparently he strained his left quad at some point, so I'm assuming that had a small effect on the time. I think we have a good enough core of young receivers that we are trying to develop with Harvin, Wright, Childs, and Burton, and we already have a lot of guys with baggage on the team, why add another. _________________

Reading about Gordon, i would probably throw a 7th rd pick at him based on his potential. Though, im sure someone will want him more than that. I like the current group of WRs with Harvin, Jenkins, Simpson and Childs, im not sure Gordon is really needed at this point or really offers the team anything that Greg Childs cant provide. |
