What's the read on this guy? He's going to be no better than 3rd on the depth chart in Houston and has a similar situation in Seattle. Why isn't he back with the Seahawks? Is it money?

i think it's more about us not offering than him not wanting to come back, i'm actually 98% certain that's the case

Nothing wrong with practice scuffles. I actually love when corners play with tenacity. Than again, I'm one of the few that supported Richard Shermans attitude last year.

So who does everyone predict to be the preseason standout this year? Not like an obvious one, but a guy like Thomas Clayton last year. I think Korey Toomer is gonna flash some brilliance.

I don't have a problem with it either kind of funny that it was Obomanu though one of the least likely guys you would guess to get into it with somebody.

Same with Earl Thomas, I don't think I've ever seen him angry. He alway seems relaxed lol.

There could be any number of reasons for Chris Clemons' absence from the Seahawks' voluntary practices.

There's a decent chance it has at least something to with his contract. More specifically, the fact that Clemons -- one of the Seahawks' most productive players the last two seasons -- isn't signed beyond 2012.

Clemons, 30, is scheduled to make $4.6 million in the final year of the contract the Seahawks inherited when they acquired the defensive end in a trade with the Eagles two years ago. Since then, Clemons has turned in a pair of 11-sack seasons while playing the "Leo" position, one that is unique to Seattle's defense.

If he holds out trade him and let Bruce run wild.

Hopefully he doesn't plan on holding out.

Agreed. A mentor will really help out Bruce.

I wish I could find some tape on this guy. I'm enticed by his height by the link says that a possible switch to TE may be in the works which tells me he's tight in the hips and may not have the fluidity to be an effective every-down WR in the future. He's obviously a project but good luck - we'll need a replacement soon enough to Mike Williams to go up and get those jump balls.

Clemons really doesn't have much leverage if he decides to hold out he will be ready.

He's 28. And apparently lost some motivation last year. I'm thinking 3-4 years down the road - Helwege is a project. I'm a big Williams fan but Wouldn't you want a red-zone formation with more big physical receivers to get jumpballs?

When healthy, BMW and Rice are pretty fantastic as a jumpball duo.

I went to HS with Justin and am friends with him, full disclosure up front lol.
The only tape you might find would be the Casino Del Sol Senior Game if you can find it. wore number 80. Played mostly out wide with a few downs at TE.

He is pretty fluid and has great hands, but doesn't have the quickness to excell at WR. He has good body control and is tenacious blocking, but needs to get stronger. If he could bulk up to 240lb range, he could do some things at TE. His ceiling there is much higher than at WR I think.
He was a late bloomer type guy. Senior year in HS he was MAYBE 175 lbs at 6'4+.... worked his [inappropriate/removed] off at CWU.

Just my 2 cents for my buddy! he is definitely a project, I just hope he can stick to a practice squad and get a shot to develop for a couple years.

Seems we just released him today, that's too bad. Looks like we're gonna try another wide receiver out. I wish ya boy the best tho
