valuable info for a sherman debate

It would be hard to argue Sherman's impact on opponents passing games last year. Seattle yielded a cumulative 91.4 passer rating in the five games before he became a starter. That number dropped to 65.9 in the eleven games that followed.

Oh trust me, I stored it away in my Richard Sherman debate vault Wink

Laughing

btw, this is a HOF comment right here

Quote:
"I prepare for every receiver the same way," Sherman explained. "All receivers have tendencies. It's not their fault that they have them. It's their offense, or their quarterback, or the formations that reveal those tendencies. The receiver can run the greatest route in the world, but I don't care about the route because I'm not guarding the route. I'm guarding the offense."

Yea, that's dope. Obviously he has a huge advantage being a former receiver.

I actually have an opinion on Harbaugh's future success, and it has nothing to do with my dislike for SF- I don't think he will have long term success with any one organization. He's a 1-3 year guy. Meaning, he will have his team's loyalty and hard work for 1-3. Once enough guys get in his dog house and starts to lose the respect of the player, he will lose the team. I see it all the time in the NHL. Coaches like Darryl Sutter (who just won the Stanley Cup) with the Kings was with my team, the Flames for many years. He was an amazing coach, but his style is so difficult to respect for many years. After a while he had lost the locker room so we had to let him go- even though he's a great coach. I think the same is in store for harbaugh.

A lot of people feel Carroll is that guy as well, to be fair. That his ra-ra attitude won't work when these players start getting older.

It could be true- however, guys like Lawyer Milloy never got old of it. I think the media overplays his raw raw type attitude. He's a hard worker, and a positive guy. The only way players will lose respect for this type of coach is if he's not consistent. If he has 'off' days where he's grumpy and that doesn't sound like pete to me.

I'd be pretty shocked if he made the roster to be honest, I could see the practice squad though.
