There was no possible way for Lloris to be eligible for the Norwich game. _________________

Honestly, I haven't paid much attention to individuals. However, the fact that he hasn't stood out suggests that he has been solid, but unspectacular. _________________

The point is how Lloris is the No. 1 for France but is No. 2 for Tottenham based on AVB's comments. _________________

Why do you even bother to come in here? Did you watch the game, or the two previous to that? Friedel played like a beast. AVB can't come out and point blank say he is dropping Friedel for someone who only signed the day before. That would look absolutely terrible and probably divide the dressing room. AVB's response was perfect, I wouldn't have wanted anything else. There will be a competition and I would assume Lloris will be the starter within a couple of weeks, but AVB couldn't say that Freidel has been dropped before he has even seen anything of Lloris etc. Seriously, please post something remotely intelligent in this thread. _________________

It was weird when I kept hearing AVB refer to Lloris as a prospect then I realized he still practically is a prospect being only 25 years of age. He has just been around for so long that I forgot how young he is for a goal keeper |

Freidel was at fault for West Brom's equaliser but apart from that, he's been far to good for Lloris to just come in and take his place. Lloris has to earn it, it's Friedels to lose. And he is 41, he's not gonna be around for much longer. _________________

You might not have it any other way. But, Hugo didn't expect competition and didn't appreciate AVB's comments according to Deschamps who spoke to the press after talking to Lloris.
Deschamps thinks that Lloris is upset at the club and it's the reason I posted it. The French coach is looking out for his No. 1.
The headline from The Guardian: "Hugo Lloris already unhappy with André Villas-Boas – Didier Deschamps"
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/sep/04/hugo-lloris-villas-boas-deschamps
The headline from The Telegraph: "Hugo Lloris has 'not appreciated' Andre Villas-Boas's comments that he might have to fight for Spurs place"

I saw this and thought it was news worthy as it looked like Villas-Boas was again having trouble with his man management. I guess everyone thinks otherwise. _________________

I think Lloris was probably expecting to be #1, but While Friedel may be 41 years old, hes started well and he was #1 before Lloris got there, he cant just hand him the jersey when Friedel is performing...
That being said, having a £8-12 Million recent French #1 GK Signing, everybody knows he is the future Spurs #1, maybe as early as the next Friedel mistake costs his side points...
But AVB cant say anything other than he did at the point with Friedel still performing well.
Surely Lloris can see the bigger picture... _________________

Non stroy, If Lloris expected to walk in about become #1 then he was an idiot. He'll get shot soon, just needs to be patient. _________________

Get used to the manager, players and city before being thrown into the fray. He doesn't need the time but it certainly doesn't hurt. _________________

Exactly, I'd put him in for the EL game against Lazio, it's a WHL to soo Ithink that would be perfect for him. _________________
