Given the direction the show went the last few seasons, my expectation are pretty low.

The series was awesome up until the last few seasons.

I've watched countless clips on Youtube, but I've never actually seen the show.

Looking forward to starting with the movie.

I wouldn't start with the movie. It looks like the movie will be a continuation from the end of the series, so it might be easy to get lost on some of the jokes/happenings. You can pickup the series for cheap now, and it's worth a watch. They just approved the movies, so you probably have 1-1.5yr to catch up.

As a guy who actually saw all the seasons, with the exception of the last 2-3 of them, do you think it would be worth it for me to try and watch the remaining seasons for continuity purposes? Or should I just leave my memory of Entourage untarnished?

I think people are trying to make the last couple to be a lot worse than they actually were. They weren't as good as the first couple, but I still liked them. You'll definitely need the last season for continuity.

God no.

If anyone needs proof of how corrupt the entertainment industry is, one just needs to look at the above.

The premise of the story was fantastic! The main character? Completely unbelievable. There's a very good reason superstar actors don't look like Vincent Chase.

Some of the guys still had interesting plots, while most others you're waiting for the next scene. Turtle and Vince stories were completely unbearable. Vince in the last season was just laughably bad. Drama was ok, Scott IMO carried Eric's story, and Ari pretty much carried the whole thing (as he always did). The earlier seasons didn't have all these guys branching out to do their own things, everything was tied together so well.

Can you actually start elaborating on posts like this? You make these cryptic posts all the time....usually due to lack of logic or lack of explanation.

Please...explain what you mean.

What's so unsuperstar looking about that?

Look how weird Benedict Cumberbatch looks yet he's quickly becoming very popular. The new Dr. Who Matt Smith looks like a freaking alien. Sean Penn, Nic Cage the list goes on.
